I have no doubt his Police Enforcer powered (assuming here) Dodge Charger could keep up with his old pick up. I agree though he was probably staying back for safety. My guess he was hoping to get to a non populated area to spin him out. Sucks.

Wow people what he did was dumb and totally deserves jail time but death? come on man. I don't think dying is fitting of stealing something.
