does having only 2 seats get in the way of anything
I'm seriously considering buying the 2011 370z and it bothers me that it only has two seats, does this inhibit anything or is it worth it?
|
It's worth having an excuse to not let people bum rides off of you ;)
Seriously though I have no issue with it. |
Just depends on your situation. I live alone, so there's rarely a passenger anyway.
|
This is more of a question for yourself. Can you handle not fitting bigger things into your car/not dragging around the children. The Z can handle a lot of stuff in certain situations. I fit myself and three other people in my car when my friends needed someone to come get them from the club. If you cannot handle having limited space and still want something sporty check out the Mustang or Evo, I will not mention that god forsaken chevy :/
Me personally I love having only two seats, usually don't have to worry about your car becoming a taxi :) |
What situations are you talking about cause it really seems like theres not a lot of space in it but its always been kind of a dream car for me, and how the hell did you fit 4 people in iit????

Gets in the way of the lameness associated with driving a sedan

If you live by yourself then you will have no worries. If you have a family then it will be a problem. As you already know it's a 2 seater, so don't plan on hauling any furniture's or anything big.
|
If you don't already have kids or don't want any, it's a great excuse to hold off!

How muc can you fit in the trunk? Is it spacious or what

You can fit about a body in the trunk as long as it's not 300lbs+. Typical groceries. No big storage boxes because the trunk won't close.

As for whether it's worth it? That can't be answered for you by people on a forum. It depends on your particular lifestyle. |

Also, I find myself having to drive other ppl a lot less when in groups, so if you do hang around friends in groups and carpool places together, you can save on some miles with a 2 seater  |
perfect for me and my girl, and we have her parents' mini van for anything else

It is also a great reason for people not to bum rides off you. My friends and co-workers don't even ask me for rides anymore because of the Z. I do have an Altima that I daily in the winter months and for rain/snow but I don't tell anyone I have that because they will start asking for rides again. :p |

There are lots of hot rod sedans on the used market that can act as both a sports car and comfortable cruiser.
If you had the Z, you'd want it to fit your personality & lifestyle. |

On topic, I never had any space issues with the z. The hatch is very spacious and I actually miss that aspect of the z most vs my mustang. |
I prefer not having so much room. I'm a single guy so I don't have to haul around too much. Even when I did have a 4 door, the backseats hardly got used. If I was married and owned my home, I probably would not have bought the Z unless I could afford a 2nd car for myself.
|
do you have 4 or 5 seats in the car you have now? How much do you use the back seat? That should answer your question.
|
Just go to the dealership and look inside one. This will answer your question about the space it has. For what it is I find the Z very spacious.
|
I almost never miss having backseats. The Z isn't my grocery-getter and ever since I got it, I haven't been forced to be the driver while carpooling.
The only times I've missed having 5 seats while driving the Z were when I had to pick 2 girls up since their cars were in use. If you find yourself actually using the back seats in your car more than once or twice a week, you could always consider a g37 coupe. It's heavier, but quite a few people I know prefer it's lines to the Z's and its interior is better. I'm also curious on how easy it would be to fit someone in the trunk. Been to scared of breaking something to try. |

Bothers is a bad word to describe it, and I'm about to move to a bigger college, no kids either so I'm not really think a lot of problems with it are presenting. I'm glad to know that I have a third seat in the trunk if I really need it
|
Actually have 8 seats in my car...

i've also heard the z is pretty noisy in the cabin is that true and is it agitating or something thats blown out of proportion
|
If you have a Z, good idea to have a second car... I tried getting groceries and stuff in the Z, it sucks.
|
I can't say I really miss the back seat. Kind of a dbag move, but I never have to drive my car when I go out with friends. The "sorry, my car only seats 2" excuse works 90% of the time. You can fit a lot in this car, but it does require some strategy. People have been able to fit an entire set of golf clubs in the trunk. One fit a bike in there and I've personally fit a set of tires in the car (2 in the back, 2 in the passanger seat, covered of course). Road noise is noticeable at first when you're actively listening for it, but after a while, you really don't notice it much. Only sure way to find out if the Z fits your needs is to go for a test drive.
