true and if i'm not mistaken this juke-R weighs less than a stock GTR (though it's only the 485hp tune, not the newer 530hp, supposedly). i'm sure a GTR stripped out as much as this juke is would weigh less but "stock" to stock, it's only disadvantages are it's overall height, roll center and wheelbase.

It doesn't matter how powerful of a motor it has, what suspension mods it has, or what the CG is.
As soon as Mu sits in it to drive it, all that weight reduction is negated...

I'm not weird, just I dunno. Things suck, and the problem is as usual, it's the good guys that get screwed.

That last part was so vague it leads me to assume something's up with Abbs

But the part about Abby...

So I wanted to rewire my subs to have less impedance and get more power from my Amp. Well after my accident, I just muted the radio whenever I was driving because it was a distraction, and never played it afterwards. When I finally got my car home, I just took the box out of the trunk until I got all the repairs done.

The only 'damage' I incurred from the impact of the ditch (aside from a dented exhaust can, but that's not major) was there was enough force to strip the amp from it's 4 screws into the sub box. Or so I thought...

After rewiring the speakers for the lower resistance, and getting everything reconnected, I found that 1 of my subs was making some crackling noise that it hadn't made before the incident. Patrick and I figured it had to do with the wiring, so we checked, double checked, and then did it all over again to make sure all the connections were correct, and the wiring matched the diagram we were going off of.

At this point after much troubleshooting, we determined the sub itself was in fact in some way malfunctioning inside the spider and basket. So basically now I have 1 good sub, in a 2 sub box. (Separate chambers, but still just 1 filled) The other sub is no good for audio now and is just a very large/heavy paperweight.



I did at some point want to go down to only 1 sub in the car since 2 was a bit of overkill, but I wanted to be able still use the 2nd one in the event something happened to the one, or I got a 2nd car. I've lost that ability now. :shakes head:

So about the subs, couldn't you take out the sub that's not working to reduce weight?

Well yeah, but now I have a 2 sub box with 1 sub in it. We're gonna put the other sub back in tomorrow night so it at least 'looks' like there's 2 working. And then I'll just order a single sub Zenclosure... (If they're still in business... :ugh2: ) and set that up. I want to get a new amp/sub anyways so it's not a complete loss. I would have just rathered to sell the whole lot as a matched set.

I have no guarantee, plus even if I do get it, it's commission only, which means it's not guaranteed either. I need a steady paycheck. That job wouldn't provide that, so even if it is 'employment' its not the paycheck I need, which means I have to keep looking.
