I hated my XBOX. Bought it and it collected dust for years. Finally sold it to a friend a few weeks ago. All it was good for was Left 4 Dead. The controller is the WORST:stirthepot: And while I know Xbox Live is better than PSN it still has its flaws. I still got lag on Xbox. My Playstation and the keys to my Z are the two things you would have to pry from my cold dead hands.

^^^ As you can see. This really boils down to personal choice.

When my friends talk about how much they love the Xbox controller it makes me wanna pull my hair out. My reason for hating it is the left analog. It strains my thumb and gets uncomfortable quick.

I have both. Any game that comes on both systems I get for the xbox. I like their online community better. I only keep the ps3 for Sony exclusive titles

The left analog stick being uncomfortable is due to having big hands. That thing is just so damn close too the thumb's knuckle.
For me, I'd like a hybrid of the two controllers. I like the Dualshock's button and stick layout, and obviously the d-pad is better for fighting games if i'm too lazy to get my joystick. The 360 controller, though, has much better materials. I never get the sweaty hands problem with the 360 controller because of the texture of the plastic. It won't happen often, but if I'm enjoying a hot beverage and gaming, it just sucks on the dualshock lol. |

Also, i like how ps3 uses bluetooth to connect, much better technology and i like how its rechargeable also, and the motion controlled 6 axis is cool, but i hardly ever use it... |
Heheh. Once again, one man's treasure is another's garbage. Bluetooth to connect to me just means that this is the only component in my entertainment system (loosely speaking) that can't be controlled by my Logitech universal remote.
It's a wash on controllers perhaps putting aside shape/weight preference. The PS3 is rechargeable out of the box, but (at least in my system) only the 6axis came with the system. You have to purchase the dual shock separately. On the other hand, you can get the charge and play for the xbox, but it's an extra 20 bucks. |

I never understood how people used to like old xbox fatty controllers, but a lot of people loved them. Different strokes for different folks. Just have to find what you like. |

**Edit - actually, you may be right, i destroyed the one that came from launch. but new bundles have the dual shocks... |

i have both systems and they are both very good but to me, the xbox is just a little bit better. i like some of the options they give you (like installing discs on the hard drive to make load times faster and reduce noise) as well as the menu bar. i like the netflix interface 10x better than on ps3. at the end of the day i like them both but the 360 is just a little bit better, to me, and i can't even put my finger on exactly why, i just know i prefer my 360 overall.
