As someone who has witnessed a pedestrian hit & run first hand, this stuff really sickens me. It's not fair to judge a whole society for the actions of the few, but after seeing this horrific scene unfold you can't help but be angry. Who the hell lets a two year old wander in the middle of traffic?!! Whoever the driver(s) were deserve the death penalty. Every person that walked can rot in hell for all I care.

Not unique to china. Just more disturbing since it was a kid.

I was of this mentality untill I saw a beached jellyfish being attacked by a seagull. I ran the gull off, scooped the jellyfish up and threw him back into the ocean, only to have a big wave propel it onto my leg where it proceeded to wrap it's tentacles around me and sting the shlt out of me while my Dad and GF laughed at me....

I have sympathy for the little girl and think that is horrible. Having said this I'm never going out of my way for any non-mammal. :shakes head:

kind of a bad analogy. you were expecting the jellyfish to have intelligence and spare you. But really you shoudl think of the nature of the jelly fish itself.

or blame Karma

Jellyfish come in two versions:
1) Collection of goo without poison
2) Collection of goo with poison
Neither of which come with intelligence.:tiphat: :rofl2:

Karma is a possibility...I just didn't think the bastard would sting me immediately after I saved it's life.

I suppose knowing that a jellyfish has no logic and reasoning I shouldn't have expected anything different...

Hmm so I the lesson is that I shouldn't save anything that doesn't recognize it 'owes me one'? ;)

You should still save it, just jump to the side as soon as you let it free. :icon17:

Correct. only reason i stopped for the turtle was i was contemplating turning it into turtle soup. but when someone else saw me i felt akward and put it on the other side of the road.

(i kid of course)

ROFLMAO. The turtle and jellyfish story. The jelly was prob thinking you were trying to eat it too. The video of the kid, where were the parents or whoever that was suppose to watch them...is this real? That is the most horrifying thing i have seen next to watching a possum eat a baby squirrel in a tree next to my garage.

After seeing that, I think I will have trouble sleeping.
