First mow of the season here in central PA.
Sweating my a** off, getting a bit of a sunburn and mowing my lawn in March?!?!?

We TOTALLY need to cut our grass, our lawn looks hideous.

I transplanted a 5' cedar from one side of the yard to the other side, then transplanted a nice 10' beech tree to where the cedar was so I could make space for some kind of nice evergreen where the beech was (want it for more privacy). I planted all of this at the end of summer/fall last year so it was an *easy* job.

Next will be raking, aeration, overseeding, then some fertilizer... I need more hours in the day! lol

ive been at it all week.... last week i put down some black mulch all the way around the house ( all by my self..took 6 trips in the frontier) and put out some new solar lights like i do every year..... the grass is really starting to come in and its a lot to keep up...im mowing like every other day now..... today im gonna try to round up everything to get control of the weeds

but all in all its getting there..

was thinking about having the scary well from the ring removed but then i realized its solid rock all the way down like 100 feet...i thought it was just a cosmetic well on top then like a pipe.... so i think im gonna build like a japanese themed pagoda over it with some plants or something

Last week set the McLane at 1/2" and took the top off. This week I'll hit her with some balanced fertilizer from Lesco.

I'm waiting for a tree to get delivered today. I bought it last week, hand picked from a dozen, best looking one of the bunch and I get a phone call today.... They lost my tree... The guy says to me, I'll just pick another one for you, I'm like, no, I looked all,the trees over and wanted the one I picked, do you best to find it... Still waiting... :shakes head:

I know! That's what I said. Ended up having to go back and picking out a new tree. A little disappointed but hey, poop happens. Got the new tree delivered right away and planted

It's a Vanderwolf's Pyramid Pine. It gets 15' high with a 10' span. It'll be perfect for some added privacy when it grows up. Right now it's ~6' tall. Also nice to have some colour in the back yard during the winter months. You can see my hydrangea's are still bare, waiting on the warm weather.
