might as well keep it going until I find a replacement ready to go (if I ever do)

nogoodname 08-19-2009 09:57 AM

why did they have to strip the wheels 3 times, something is wack

Caravanshaka 08-19-2009 09:59 AM

cause they have monkey's powdercoatiing their wheels...remember Dave's wheels on the "forgestar" thread...I think they are having issues with the place that is finishing their wheels and they are actually catching it in QA now.

depends on the temperature, but heat treating, while you get all of the strength properties back, does absolutely nothing for fatigue properties. so you'll have this really strong but brittle metal on your hands. i'd be worried if i heard my wheels got nuked in the oven three times...

then again, what temps are we talking about? it's too early for me to be thinking straight.

Caravanshaka 08-19-2009 10:02 AM

450 degrees phelan

nogoodname 08-19-2009 10:02 AM

there's always one rotten one in a herd...lol

Caravanshaka 08-19-2009 10:03 AM

btw, walked outside to my car and put up a ruler marked with how much further out the AME's would be and put it against the tire. Stock ride height, they'd be past the fender about 3/8" to 1/2"

FuszNissan 08-19-2009 10:04 AM

Dave had like 3 rotten one's in two different shipments too.

nogoodname 08-19-2009 10:04 AM

i dont like them....lol

wait for the Vossen, usually 3rd is a charm, but for ur powdercoater it isnt...lol

theDreamer 08-19-2009 10:05 AM

How much would the Vossen go for for a set of four?

nogoodname 08-19-2009 10:07 AM

FuszNissan 08-19-2009 10:08 AM

nogoodname 08-19-2009 10:09 AM

FuszNissan 08-19-2009 10:11 AM
