It does have it moments of hilarity.....I guess you just gotta laugh sometimes at how your life can be changed in a blink of an eye....and somehow we adapt to change. This might sound odd or cruel......but sometimes I wish I didn't have that mode of humanity in me. There's just something inside me that when we go to see my grandmother and then when we leave, I have this feeling like we're abandoning her. Although I know we aren't....it's just that crazy sense of humanity.

I did get to meet one of the other "residents"......Judith Cook.....she seems to be the resident person in charge of keeping the pond area clean. I actually went outside to look at the fish and see if I could locate all 5 turtles they have and I did. Showed her some of them.....got her life story.....she was leaning over to look at one of the turtles I saw under a bush and then she says to me:

Can I get a hand?

So I said: Sure, for what?

She said: No, literally YOUR HAND!

I was like....OHHHHH....

She was about to fall down.....duh on me! :icon14:

Be on the watch for the dreaded TPMS light to come on.....it did for me when the temp in VA changed ever so slightly. Asked Altered Atmosphere about it and they agreed.....the TPMS can be set off by changes in temp.

TPMS = P.I.T.A. (in certain cases, of course)

Sometimes I wish my grandmother was "happy but just there"....unfortunately, shes here and not always happy! :p

That seems to be the case....she remembers a lot about the house.....that she doesnt have her purse, her slippers, that the house needs to be cleaned....but when it comes to something new and current....she'll look at ya and agree.....2 minutes later....you can say the same thing to her and you'll get a totally different response from her. That's the part I hate most.

nogoodname 10-03-2009 11:28 PM

tony, i can mail u a book that talks about dementia.... interesting book.... and when u r done.. .. mail it back

Hmmmm......I've heard mention of this....but dont know much more about it, tho. When I got the AccessPORT added, the TPMS light shut off and so far hasn't come back on. Not sure if thats what stopped it but so far it hasn't been back on since the install.

2theextreme 10-03-2009 11:33 PM

yea my tire pressure has been solid. I lowered it due to the dealer over inflating them but was curious about adding air, or a dealer visit was required.

I had to visit the dealer after getting the new wheels & tires added. They came with a new TPMS, I decided not to use the same one that came with the factory wheels & tires. I had to go get the dealer to "marry up" the new TPMS with the computer. That was when the dealer saw my car for the first time and gave me the ol' :icon08:!
