Even if they were, you should be able to tell your story truthfully. It's not bashing if it's legit, ya know?

We measure in "score" now.

Caravanshaka 09-18-2009 12:44 PM

3 score and 15 weeks ago??

frost 09-18-2009 12:45 PM

:rofl2:

phelan 09-18-2009 12:49 PM

:rofl2:

three score and 15 weeks ago, forgestar brought forth a new wheel, conceived in 3d models, and dedicated to the proposition that flow-formed wheels are better...we are now engaged in a long-*** wait, testing whether any person, or any persons buying can long endure...

:roflpuke2:

nogoodname 09-18-2009 12:50 PM

caravan went from days to weeks to months... as unit of time measurement for his rims

Caravanshaka 09-18-2009 12:52 PM

Well, now they are waiting to make a new effing set when I told them the powdercoated ones are fine...FFS

That's because it was all a lie.

phelan 09-18-2009 12:54 PM

wtf? even though you told them not to, they did anyway?:icon08:

nogoodname 09-18-2009 12:58 PM

they probably dropped the rim off the truck from powdercoater and the rim rolled away

Caravanshaka 09-18-2009 12:59 PM

now he says that the powdercoated ones didn't come out perfect so he wants to wait and give me a new set that is perfect...

nogoodname 09-18-2009 01:01 PM

just bail out and keep the stockies....lol

or tell them to sell you the new set unpowdercoated at a highly discounted price.

get it and powdercoat them at a shop near you

phelan 09-18-2009 01:02 PM

dude caravan pull out, this is ridiculous.

Tried that already, was gonna have Mike powdercoat them black with a pearl white stripe, but they wouldn't do it...

I'm tired of the stock. I'm dropped and they are tucked in too far and I'm not gonna buy spacers when I really just want new wheels.

nogoodname 09-18-2009 01:04 PM

ok..................... bail the hell out

frost 09-18-2009 01:07 PM

They don't even have rims, this is all BS to keep you on the hook

phelan 09-18-2009 01:07 PM

can't find another wheel that appeals to you?

i don't even remember which ones you ordered anymore.

Caravanshaka 09-18-2009 01:08 PM

If I bail out, I've got $700 tires sitting in my garage with no wheels to go on...I have to refund a $450 deposit that are on my stock wheels, and I still end up with stockers...

frost 09-18-2009 01:08 PM

Some dude has a deposit on your stockers? He has to be pissed.

sure I have, but they are all $2,500+ while these forgetar F14's are $1,400.

I'd be happy to wait on the Vossen Concave's if I had more info on what to expect from them, and if they could do the black with white pinstripe...

I told him the entire story of what forgestar has been feeding me before he made a deposit...he's actually the one that suggested the deposit, I didn't feel I needed one but it help me get my tires ordered quickly. He said he's ok waiting...

whew.

Caravanshaka 09-18-2009 01:14 PM

ya, trust me, I feel like **** for having to keep telling him "still no tracking number, they are telling me next week". he's only been waiting 3-4 weeks though, not the entire 15 at least.

XwChriswX 09-18-2009 01:16 PM

You should write a book about it... Then use the proceeds off of that for the court fees and sue them for BS abuse lol.

frost 09-18-2009 01:17 PM

He's only been waiting a score? lol
Tough situation, but yeah, he knew what he was getting into at least. When you first said it, the firs thing that came to mind was someone putting a deposit on your rims right when you ordered the others.

maybe like 3/4's of a score :rofl2:

nah, it wasn't right when I ordered...although I was told 2-3 weeks when I ordered, so I wouldn't have known any better at that time.

When this guy came I laid everything on the table for him and told him "I have no idea when they will actually get here". I've thrown him a discount on what we agreed on already for the wait though...

What a gentleman :tiphat:

Caravanshaka 09-18-2009 01:26 PM

I know how bad it sucks to wait...I got a discount from Forgestar (with another to come) so I passed some of that discount on.

phelan 09-18-2009 01:45 PM

hungryyyy

Caravanshaka 09-18-2009 01:46 PM

phelan, how do you like the spc rear camber arms? how much did they cost? I need to decide between them and SPL

phelan 09-18-2009 02:02 PM

They work great! I'm actually surprised you didn't get the camber arms with the Eibachs, they threw my alignment completely off. I had some nasty neg. camber coming out of the install, and there was plenty of adjustment capability to bring them back to stock.

Lou was telling me (as I was watching) that the SPC arms do require a bit of drilling to install correctly though.

XwChriswX 09-18-2009 02:07 PM

Ok, I'm not looking to break the bank, and my car won't ever see a street track (maybe some strip runs, or highway racing lol) But I'd at least like to lower it, and if I get a better suspension in the process alright. My point...

Should I stick with just springs and cam's or go with coilovers and not half *** it? Cause I wanna get the Tein ones with the EDFC so I can control the ride in the car and raise/lower it at will... But thats gonna come with a hefty pricetag lol.

I just dunno what to doooo! :ugh2:

bigaudiofanat 09-18-2009 02:08 PM

IMO the car's stance is just fine. I would not lower it at all. Also because of speed bumps.

I dont mind the look. But I don't go over speed bumps at all. Once in the 4-5 ish months Ive owned it.

Maybe I just need more face time with it to find out, and also once I actually have the rims I want based on the wheel/tire/well profile...

I know on my tC at least it should be dropped at least 1-1.5 inches... Sucks, but I'm not gonna put anymore money into it than I have to right now...
