How many total controllers does NavCanada employ? ToGo is looking at ATC too.

Not a whole lot. Did more research into that thing we talked about but ultimately decided to stay in NY and fly for the PD *fingers crossed*

Oh, nogood, while it's no surprise, I still haven't gotten a PM back from 360... fucking figures...

i dunno exact numbers but they control all airports and airspace in Canada....
i hope i get it, the training center is a 45 min drive from my house.... not bad
next province....lol

blue660r01 09-06-2009 09:36 PM

ma back that thing up girl time is money

Togo 09-06-2009 09:38 PM

I've been so torn because I know i'd enjoy the ATC, i'd enjoy anything in aviation but i tallied up a lot of life factors and decided that ultimately NY is a better option at the moment and that offers a cockpit seat. Actually it could offer 2, I intend to join the ANG our here after the academy and hopefully a C-130 driver seat opens up and I could slide into that as well. I wouldn't mind flying a Bell 412, an Agusta A119, and a C-130. :D

Yeah that would be a nice setup for sure. What kind of ATC do you think you'd like better?

BanningZ 09-06-2009 09:39 PM

Damned roof is leaking in my bathroom. I cut out the drywall and found an old vent line, where the vent was removed and then covered over with plywood when a new roof was laid. Now its dripping ever so slightly, but just enough for it to pool and begin dripping through the ceiling.

FML.

No doubt, the A119 is nice, they come in here a few times a week.

Yeah it looks pretty sick and it does a lot of Counter Terrorist/Patrol work which would be pretty damn cool.

You are probably right. Its just built up condensation most likely. Unfortunately if its building up into ice, and you don't have a quick enough thaw to allow it to evaporate, its gotta go somewhere...and that place would be on your bro's head.

IFR most likely, but in the interview.... they decide whether i'll be an IFR or VFR

me and my bro went up and removed all the ice and insulation
we replaced it with new insulation, a lot of it... we also install baffles so the insulation doesnt touch the roof itself.

it's temp job.... maybe later on in the fall or next spring when the attic isnt boiling hot... i need to remove all existing insulation and put in modern stuff....

when i opened the insulation bag in the attic... i was expecting it to triple in size b/c it's compressed right??
instead.... it became so huge i stepped back and you know what happens when you step back in an attic.............. FML

What sounds better to you? Working in a large center never seeing the airplanes, or in the tower looking outside all day?

Not a horrible amount, but just enough of a dry summer to make last years tiny leak, into a larger leak once the new rains came back. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. :D

i see ur point.... VFR would probably be cool b/c you get to see the planes... that would probably distract me at 1st b/c planes are just as cool as cars to me.

IFR pays more :ugh2:
