I have a mac. Not as impressed as I thought I would be. Actually harder to get around than windows.

Give it some time, I have had mine for 4 years never going back. have to get a new one soon, as I have beaten this thing up so badly.

LOL i said it has been out I have a 4 year old powerbook g4 that can not run it. My next mac will though I will be getting it in about a month.

What do you like about it over PC out of curiosity?

Like you already know there's a big learning curve and since mac users are in the minority help sometimes is a problem apple has all things pretty much covered online..

Speed, never slows down over time like a windows weather it be over a day or year, Never freezes, never gets spy ware or viruses, can do just about anything a pc can, worth the money, less updates, less or no security holes, very stable, easy to use. I can go on if you want me to.

I agree with the never slows down part. As for the rest, :shrug: nothing else was ever a problem.

I look at it this way I am always helping people online and always working on computers as well as car audio installs. "going to school for computers as well" I do not want to come home and have to worry about my computer working. Ever sense I tried a mac I was hooked.

Probably the biggest thing I like has been the relief about spyware and virus' but I've really come to enjoy the operating system. Just the easy of having widgets at my disposal, the track pad responsiveness and finger commands. I greatly prefer the layout of the quicklinks bar at the bottom vs the start menu. Safari runs amazingly well and I like it more than I did Mozilla Fire Fox. I also find using the "Finder" to navigate around more convenient than "My Computer".

A lot of what I like is a lot of little things but all in all it adds up. I was worried when I switched from PC that it would take me a while to learn key command short cuts etc but actually they were really easy to learn and pick up.

It doesn't ever seem to slow down, as others have said, which is great as well. I really do love knowing that every day I turn it on, if I encounter a problem it won't be my computer it's most likely my damn router. :D

Wow, that's completely opposite of what I like (other than the viruses). I can't stand widgets, the track pad is crazy noisy when I click it, I prefer windows' nav bar and my computer, I ever prefer firefox to safari (which was easily remedied). Although I could easily live with this computer if it wasn't for the fact is freezes once every couple days.

Ya my 4 year old powerbook has only had one problem LMAO the charger failed finally so I bough a 20 dollar replacement the battery still ticks on and even has been dropped 4 times with dents and all still runs like the day I got it. I can use either safari or firefox both are good.

Well, I chose my PC FOR the viruses and the slowness....so....nanny nanny boo boo to you all! :icon17:

Okay that is your choice. All I knwo is I was at 4 airports when I was coming and going to Cali and over 80% of the laptops I saw were macs. Even companies are changing to them for there reliability.
