They look kind of stock form, like someone modded the intake box into heat shields. If the dyno is correct, thay seem to hold up well, but something seems askew.

the air filter is a totally different design

so what do you think??

The new, state-of-the-art R2C Performance MaxxFlow Cold Air Intake System reduces factory inlet restriction by approximately 40%.
Those filters look smaller than the stillens. How can you have reduced factory restriction, yet have a dyno similar to the Stillen, yet have smaller filters?

Is this just my perspective or the angles of the pictures? Or is stillen using a filter that is so large it is losing power?

Edit: I think they are BS. Just because their filters are similar to the ones in an Army tank doesn't mean **** to me.

They sure do talk about cotton gauze a lot.

stillen uses K&N oiled filters...to me they look the same size

BanningZ 08-02-2009 06:11 PM

IDK man, give them a try. I think I'm missing something here. :icon14:

I just dont get what that shield is for in front of the intakes... I mean if the idea is to get them out of the engine bay in the flow of fresh air from outside, then wouldnt you want that side of the intakes free from obstruction? Or is that a bug shield of some sort? And also, with the intakes blocking/sucking air in front of the radiator, does that effect it's efficiency at all? Less air going through = less heat transfer?
