I'm gonna buy it, so I can be the #1

2theextreme 08-23-2009 06:29 PM

I had one of these......

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/666781

until it got hit from behind by a Plymouth Satellite.....bye bye B-210!

frost 08-23-2009 06:31 PM

So what youre saying is, youre accident prone.

2theextreme 08-23-2009 06:31 PM

Not sure how close Chandler is to Phoenix......

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3121261

ever seen this ride around town, frost?

Do I dare list all my accidents....in order? :icon14:

frost 08-23-2009 06:33 PM

Chandler is only like, 20 minutes away. Haven't seen that thing though, would remember that.

I do say you dare list your "accidents" in order. (We in safety don't call them that)

he was pretty hardcore, made us attend weekly meeting, etc..

frost 08-23-2009 06:42 PM

That's how I "used" to be, before I got a job with the City. This place has really beaten me down and ass-raped my spirit.

2theextreme 08-23-2009 06:43 PM

#1 - Toyota Celica....rolled it @ 90 mph by messing around with a stupid cassette player and got my tires just off the edge of the road and slammed into a fire hydrant and two trees. Walked away with NO injuries.

#2 - Datsun B210....as stated above....on the way to high school....hit from behind by Plymouth Satellite....my drivers seat had two positions only and the hit was so hard when it was over I was laying flat on my back looking up at the ceiling.

#3 - Nissan Sentra - Got pissed at another driver while entering the highway.....did a quick swerve from the left then back to the right and lost control.....smashed into the guardrail on I-66. Totalled the car and had to pay for a new guardrail.

#4 - Another Nissan Sentra - Got a call from my mom while at work....."Its snowing out....you arent very experienced at driving in the snow...why dont you leave early?"....so I did....laughed at the other drivers going slow.....didnt laugh anymore after I went over a hill and there was a slight turn to the left and my car stayed straight and went into the ditch. Had to get that car repaired as best as possible.

#5 - Toyota Paseo - Coming up to a green light....it went yellow....saw another car on the other side of the street who was going to turn in front of me....figured "Eh, he wont go!"...he went...we met in the middle. Didnt total that one, at least.

#6 - Hyundai Tiburon - Driving to work.....had a seizure on I-395. Somehow, in the middle of rush hour....I didnt hit anyone else but I did swerve from the center of the highway and hit both the right AND left side guardrails. Again, didnt total that car...got it fixed.

#7 - 370Z - Most everyone knows that story on here.

There ya go, frost! :icon08: Wanna come to Virginia and go for a ride? Or better yet....can I come visit you and drive one of your cars?

frost 08-23-2009 06:45 PM

You were angry at a dude and swerved at him? But you look so ... "peaceful hippie"

:icon18: Not at him....just went around him and crashed.....and even after the crash I still got out of the car and was pissed. Yes, I had anger issues as a young driver. I dont like to discuss it. :icon17:

frost 08-23-2009 06:47 PM

What are the [approx] years?

2theextreme 08-23-2009 06:48 PM

Most of those happened as a late teen to early 20's....the Tib and the 370 happend later in life.....both unfortunate incidents....especially the seizure.....have to get medical reviews each year to keep driving. My license may be good for 5 years but in effect it's only good on a year by year basis.

I bet that was scary as all F. I've had a seizure before....not cool

frost 08-23-2009 06:51 PM

My license expires in 2041.
And I was going to ask about the medical thing, but didnt want to touch on a sensitive subject. Sounds pretty similar to having a CDL. Do you still have them?

If I remember that first accident happened back in 1986.....that one cost my parents their 20 year good driving record with Geico. :icon08: They dropped me from their policy and I voluntarily gave my license back to the state of Virginia so they could get it back (the good driving record).

frost 08-23-2009 06:52 PM

rofl. "sorry kid, you don't get to drive anymore, we need our discount"

Yeah....had my first one back in 1993 while in the Air Force....just sitting there at my desk having a conversation....started to stutter on my words and in my mind I'm thinking, "What the hell? Spit it out!"

Next thing I know I got EMT people in my face asking if I lost my bowels and I'm like "Dudes, I gotta plan my birthday party for the weekend....this is seriously gonna screw up my plans!" :roflpuke2:

I've been seizure free since 2007! One of the longest stretches of my life since having my first one. When I first moved back to Northern Virginia from Hampton, Virginia I had about 1 every six months. I guess I've adjusted to the stress of life up here.....and when my license was renewed just last month the letter from the DMV said I'm good for TWO years now! I'm making progress. ;)

All because when I had to renew my license after that first seizure there is a block on the paperwork....Have you ever had a blackout/seizure?.....and I checked the little box....just to be honest. Sometimes I regret I did that. But, it was the right thing to do.

i kinda inflicted mine. I ended up blacking out and hitting my head really hard on a window sill, which caused a seizure. I was seeing everything in green and yellow blocks when I came to , if that makes sense. I think I scared my friends more than myself

frost 08-23-2009 06:59 PM

Havent had that experience :knock on wood:
What causes it? (the basics)

:icon18: NOO! I have never lost my bowels during a seizure. The most embarrassing one? Having one coming out of the shower and still being naked and my aunt and grandmother were helping me. For some ungodly reason as I got up I just started walking around.....NAKED! They are like...ok, you might want to put some clothes on now. I didnt listen and kept walking around in front of them. I finally came around and got what they were saying.....ugh! :shakes head:

* Tumors (such as brain tumor) or other structural brain lesions (such as bleeding in the brain)
* Traumatic brain injury, stroke, or a transient ischemic attack (TIA)
* Stopping alcohol after drinking heavily on most days
* Illnesses that cause the brain to deteriorate
* Dementia such as Alzheimer's disease
* Problems that are present from before birth (congenital brain defects)
* Injuries to the brain that occur during labor or at the time of birth
* Low blood sugar or sodium levels in the blood
* Kidney or liver failure
* Use of cocaine, amphetamines, or certain other recreational drugs
* Stopping certain drugs, such as barbiturates and benzodiazepines, after taking them for a period of time.
* Infections (brain abscess, meningitis, encephalitis, neurosyphilis, or AIDS)
* Phenylketonuria (PKU) can cause seizures in infants

I blackout sometimes because of low blood sugar

frost 08-23-2009 07:03 PM

That's only partially funny since it's a medical condition, otherwise it would be hilarious.

frost 08-23-2009 07:03 PM

looks like a good mix of causes. Would have thought it was specifically brain related.

For me....now this is gonna get weird because I never heard about this until I had my 1st seizure.....but my mom finally told me....when I was really young....only months old....I was in the crib crying....my real father (I grew up with a stepdad, just to clarify)....well, he hit me pretty bad....I had to go to the hospital and get fluid drained from my head.

Just two days before my 24th birthday I had that seizure. MRI shows I have a porencyphalic cyst on the left side of my brain....basically if you see one of my MRI's....the left corner of it just looks cut off.....dead brain cells. I'm like 5% zombie! :bowrofl:
