The guy confirmed what I already knew, but wanted to hear from his mouth (er... text).

Being I'm non-committal on a purchase, should I waste his time? I want to SEE what the car's like, not necessarily buy.

Is there only one Nissan dealership in town? Might see if any others have one just to look at, hate to have the dealership try and get one delivered and you not buy.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. There's another Nissan dealer across the river (same 'metro area' but different town) that's part of the same family, so he checked there as well. There's no sport packages available locally at the moment. The guy took my number & said he'd call back if he was able to find out when they'll have one ordered or when one comes in stock.

I was straightforward & told him I wasn't absolutely looking to buy, but that I wanted to compare the 370Z vs my 350Z.

Now, we wait & see. All things considered, that's OK by me-- I like not having a car note.

just drive over here. there are plenty to SEE

I'm tempted to go to Dallas this weekend. If my car is ready (clutch work & having a stainless steel clutch line installed), I may go see what's available.
