Caravanshaka 08-19-2009 08:51 AM

you guys think 5-zigen wheels are too cheap to put on a Z? they seem pretty heavy at 28 lbs for a 19x10...

AndyO 08-19-2009 08:51 AM

it seems as this is my second job

I am not much of a wheel whore but if I own a 30/40K car, I'm not putting a 1k wheel and tire package on it. :twocents:

AndyO 08-19-2009 08:54 AM

what can u buy for 1k?!

a lot of BEER!

AndyO 08-19-2009 08:55 AM

or 1k jumbo jacks

rreign 08-19-2009 08:59 AM

1k 5zigen Wheel/Tire package

You can get just about all of these on this site for 1200 or less wheels/tires

theDreamer 08-19-2009 08:59 AM

Not much new, been talking with Takeda about the intakes and my results.
Wheels are a tough choice, so many companies think you should spend 1k a wheel because they are light or unique or whatever. Though you have forgestar wheels that are light as stock, unique, and have a few options, all for 1500.

Caravanshaka 08-19-2009 09:00 AM

it'd be these if I did 5-zigen...but leaning against it right now

http://www.5zigenusa.com/products/wh...+520/19G_l.jpg

I REALLY like the AME tracer TM-02's in matte black or gunblack...but that 19x9.5 +22 front is going to need a serious drop to tuck right...see DannyGT's journal

xiven 08-19-2009 09:03 AM

they are pretty nice

AndyO 08-19-2009 09:04 AM

they look nice

I know what you mean. I was looking for wheels for my RX8 and I ended up getting some SSR wheels that ran me around 1500 w/o tires. Companies are just freakin greedy and know that it doesn't take all that much money and enginuity to make a freakin set of wheels.

Caravanshaka 08-19-2009 09:07 AM

problem with the 5-zigens is that there is no lip on the outer edge that can take a pin-stripe :(

AndyO 08-19-2009 09:07 AM

thats true kid. But what about durability.

rreign 08-19-2009 09:10 AM

Hey Caravan I changed my user title to get you some advertising. Everyone should put it down and start picketing, lol.

Caravanshaka 08-19-2009 09:15 AM

AndyO 08-19-2009 09:16 AM

FuszNissan 08-19-2009 09:16 AM

FuszNissan 08-19-2009 09:19 AM

FuszNissan 08-19-2009 09:20 AM

What is the max advatar dimensions. Nevermind.

AndyO 08-19-2009 09:20 AM

Oh thats danny! Ouch my wife would not let me spend that much right now

Caravanshaka 08-19-2009 09:23 AM

I feel your pain Andy...

If I get the AME's, I'll NEED a drop though...that front offset will stick out like 1/2" to 3/4" past the fender at stock ride height.

Caravanshaka 08-19-2009 09:26 AM

wow, only 40 more posts to 1k! :excited:

AndyO 08-19-2009 09:27 AM

^ there would be no other option, youd have to drop

ugh you always post before me!!!!:roflpuke2:

FuszNissan 08-19-2009 09:29 AM

I won't drop, I had too many issues with my 350. I am leaving it stock.

AndyO 08-19-2009 09:30 AM

^but.......but.........

Caravanshaka 08-19-2009 09:31 AM

I don't want to drop far...I've only got 3/4" clearance getting out of my driveway as it stands right now...a little worried I couldn't get the AME's to tuck quite right with a 3/4" drop.

XwChriswX 08-19-2009 09:33 AM

Mornin world, how are you doin today?

AndyO 08-19-2009 09:33 AM

just do it........everyones doing it

xiven 08-19-2009 09:33 AM

same as yesterday i guess
