Time to search for tires now.

Discounted tires??

Caravanshaka 08-17-2009 10:45 AM

ok guys, what do you think of these options?

BC Racing BR coilovers + rear camber arms
Eibach springs + rear camber arms
Tanabe springs + rear camber arms

Obviously the coilovers are better, but they come at a much higher cost. The car is a daily driver and likely won't ever see a track.

Caravanshaka 08-17-2009 10:45 AM

grats on 21 rep power nogood!

nogoodname 08-17-2009 10:49 AM

Thanks caravan

I found another black G in Montreal to meet with.

phelan 08-17-2009 11:08 AM

For a DD I don't see a reason to get coilovers, but that's just me.

Dunno Tanabe or Eibach though. I think I've heard Eibach more than Tanabe, but who knows, I'm still new to all of this.

Caravanshaka 08-17-2009 11:10 AM

you probably have heard eibach more...tanabe isn't out yet :(

phelan 08-17-2009 11:13 AM

oh that'll explain it :(

i like how tanabe has three different types to choose from, though. typically, at least.

theDreamer 08-17-2009 11:36 AM

Just got into the office, went to the dentist. :(
A cavity and then a cleaning for next week, guess I am not doing as good of a job as I thought.

XwChriswX 08-17-2009 11:52 AM

I hate going to the base dentists... you get asked/told no less than 400 times to Floss Floss FLOSS!

I hate any dentist

TX_370 08-17-2009 12:52 PM

Eibach imo... I have never used Tanabe, but I have used Eibach on multiple cars and never disappointed.

xiven 08-17-2009 12:55 PM

Sorry bout your car TX. Mine is just getting attention from the neighborhood cats. Not much I can do about that besides putting a cover on the car.

I hate mine, guy is "good" but he is a real jerk. Though I have not had to deal with him yet, and hopefully not this time around (I am scheduled to meet someone else).

smurfblu13 08-17-2009 01:49 PM

someone accidently the whole bumper? ouch

You still going to go with a stock bumper if you get a new one or set a few plans in motion?

XwChriswX 08-17-2009 01:56 PM

Sounds interesting...

2 weeks before I shipped my car from Germany, my landlord took the turn into the driveway too wide and went corner to corner with my left rear bumper. Looks like someone kicked the hell out of it, nothing major but about a cantalope sized dent with some scratches.

The shitty thing was like I said, I left in two weeks so I didn't have time for a drawn out car insurance battle... So I was like just give me 500 Euro (~650 Dollars) For the replacement costs... and he was like no no, insurance... I was like I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THAT. So ended up talking to his insurance, and the German way is you have the part ordered, and replaced, repainted and all. Then you send them the reciepts from all that and they reimburse you. So I was like GAY. I don't have time for this sh*t.

So long story, not as long... Once I got back to the states, did some searchin and managed to find a rear bumber (part), primed, painted, clear coated, shipped to my door for $380. Normally I couldn't find the part alone for less than $400. Now I'm just waiting for the da*ned car to get here so I can swap bumpers, and trade the thing in for my ZZZZ.
