BC hill billies only have one lane roads, on need to check mirrors because there is no lane to switch into....

XwChriswX 08-10-2009 11:13 AM

I don't think she'd wanna take Raiden on the roads of Hazard County lol. Too many trashed cop cars to boot..

2theextreme 08-10-2009 11:13 AM

Went to the dealer this morning....got my TPMS fixed! The little ! symbol isn't lit up anymore...YAYYY!

Also had them install the blue kickplates....it looks ! I'll have photos this evening, I promise.

Also, my dealer said my car is 100% illegal and that he never wants to see it again in his shop. :ugh2: He said its too low for him to do ANYTHING with it and that the emissions had been removed from the engine. Ummm.....first of all, I went for a TPMS fix and blue kickplates....why are they looking at my engine anyways? I called Altered and they just about laughed themselves to death over the dealers comments. They said its typical of a dealer to scare the owners becuase they dont want to be held responsible for working on any aftermarket parts. Oh well......guess I'll be getting my work done else where from now on. :icon08:

Oh, and I forgot....he said he should have reported me and I would have a $10,000 fine.

If it's the same system as in my tC, there should be a button in the glove box that when you turn the ignition to 'ON' You press it until it goes off. Then you release, and press it again until it blinks 3 times to register the new settings... then you're good to go...

PICS!!! lol

And they look exactly for this reason, they KNOW we are going to mod these things, and like you said, they don't wanna have to cover aftermarket parts in the warranty...

Unfortunately when I got my headers installed one of the O2 sensors went bad....thats what has the SES light on. The O2 sensor came in today so this Friday I'll be back @ Altered to get it fixed. That should take care of all the warning lights. :p

And yes...blue kickplate pics tonight...I promise!

1st of all, how much for the tpms recalibrate
2nd is they can't fine you, who do they think they are??
3rd, they can put a red flag on ur car
4th, they are trying to scare you...if anything ever happens to the engine or whatever, they will try to deny you..... that's when the BBB and HQ stuff kicks in.
5th, they can only deny work if it is directly ur fault from the aftermarket pieces you put on

i say, screw them...lol

Love dealerships responses to aftermarket parts, most have no clue what half the stuff does anyways so they just say that.
Kick plates look great, still need to order a pair for my car.

the r2 d2 ppl are slow, i thought the appointment was for friday...

Apparently they had severe weather last week and the Z owner canceled his appointment. He did say once the car got there they would know in under an hour.

Hey nogood.....it was $105 for the TPMS and also $105 to install the kickplates. And he basically said: "The car is too low...I can't do ANYTHING with your car." That may not be an exact quote but it's pretty darn close. He also sat back and laughed when I told him the SES should be taken care of after fixing the O2 sensor. He giggled and said: "Yeah, just try it and see." :icon08:

Seriously. Saying you're going to report someone so they'll be fined is a great way to generate future revenue.

Yeah, I would have laughed in his face, comments from dealerships are hilarious sometimes.

Caravanshaka 08-10-2009 01:51 PM

theDreamer 08-10-2009 02:01 PM

How long has it been?
What is the current wait time on these, might have to pre-plan on ordering these?

Caravanshaka 08-10-2009 02:07 PM

Caravanshaka 08-10-2009 02:50 PM
