Ryan Dunn apologists can make all the rationalizations they want, and try to second-guess professional accident reconstructionists based on a couple of internet photographs, but it won't wash.

Negligence, stupidity, arrogance. Motor vehicle homicide.

Not that I'm backing up the situation or anything, but do you have a source for his blood alcohol level? How the hell could/did they get a BAC from a guy that was only recognizable buy his tattoos....?

Just a guess since I haven't read any sources, or heard about the BAC but it requires a very minuscule amount of blood to get an accurate BAC. My guess is that there was plenty available at the scene of the accident.

Everyone knows he's responsible for his own actions, no alcohol involved... just going 130 is already recipe for disaster. But I don't get all these people that are on like a personal vendetta, that seem so mad about the whole ordeal as if Dunn killed one of their kids. The guy is dead, let him RIP... it has nothing to do with being right or wrong in his actions. If my son dies from a heroine overdose, I'm not gonna sit there and say THIS IDIOT DID IT TO HIMSELF, you have no feeling if you feel like that... so what makes a stranger any different, dying is dying whether its by accident, by suicide, or by being drunk driving at 130mph in a porsche, its still sad.

I never said it wasn't a terrible thing, or I don't feel for his family. And I have no personal vendetta, or agenda or anything really. I just think it's silly to attempt to defend his actions... I don't care, people do dumb **** all the time. it's human nature... but your stance on the subject was as if this was a court room and you were trying to get him aquitted lol
I think people in general are more pissed because there was someone with him, but the dude who got in the car with him, knew what he was getting into... meh..

It's widely reported in the news. You'll have no trouble finding it. In fact, if you google "0.196", or "blood alcohol 0.196", you'll see that Ryan Dunn's name comes up. Sterling legacy he leaves, there.

As to blood...there was plenty of it in his body, but usually post-mortem tox screens are done from aspiration of vitreous fluid from the eye (speaking as ex-Assistant Coroner and Death Investigator for this county). I've done that several times in accidents or other deaths as traumatic as this one.

.0196 is damn near 10 beers equivalent. Wow.

I know this is off topic, but that is insanely cool. I learned something new today :icon17:

For a 240 lb male drinking over 4 hours, it's closer to 15 beers (or 16 shots of whiskey).
