What's part 2? Where you do a u turn, catch up to him a half mile down the road and slit his throat?

The one I love to hate is "the creeper".
You know, the person who keeps inching up past the line at an intersection well before the light turns green. Or maybe they've stopped a whole car length or more ahead of the line and the sign that says "STOP HERE ON RED".

This one is a cop!

What I really enjoy is watching drivers wanting to make a left turn get stuck at the light because they've pulled up beyond the sensors that trigger the left turn arrow light.
I get a special joy in that. I'll even go out of my way and not turn left at that particular intersection if I see a creeper ahead of me.

The ones that keep inching up at the light until they're nearly in the intersection, then when the light turns NEVER even get up to the speed limit.

Also hate people who follow too closely. I've noticed that in my area, tailgating is an epidemic. At least when I'm in the Z, I can lose them as soon as the road bends enough, but in my DD, I have to slow down. I'm not going to have some idiot flying into my back bumper because they rode my azz and then we had to brake at the drop of a dime.

^This. Gotta love when people create rolling roadblocks. I never understood why the concept is so difficult to understand. If you are moving slower than the average pace of traffic, stay in the right lane(s).

Or the ones that have the slow reaction to when the light turns green after inching up at the light. They act like they're gonna go as soon as the light changes and when it does, they just sit there like idiots :shakes head:

Similar to when your sitting at a red light 10 cars back and everyone keeps inching up the hole time the light is red. Just pull up to the car in front of you and stop.

One of the things that absolutely gets my blood boiling is how badly many cops abuse traffic laws. Every other cop I see cruising around is talking on their cell phone, speeding, not using their signals, and the trend that they seem to like stop light racing by hitting the gas and brakes like an on off switch.

And yet they are the ones responsible for pulling people over for those very offenses. When they are not responding to a call, they must follow the law like everyone else.

You're really going to complain about a cop "speeding"? How do you know they're not responding to a call?

I'll definitely give them that.
I'll also give them the benefit of the doubt because they need to type on a laptop, text or talk on their cell and use their radio while driving, so who am I to expect that they use turn signals, or stay in their lane? Have I been sideswiped by a cop? No, but that's because I wasn't on my cell and I was alert enough to get out of his way.
I hate drivers who are texting or using their handheld in general. I also hate people who don't signal or stay in their lane, and I really hate people who chop off the apex of turns on a bend or in an intersection.
Cops, if anything, should be setting an example for the laws they enforce. If they're responding to a call, they should have their lights on so we can get out of their way, especially on a busy multiple lane road in the business district.

LULz, exactamundo. If they are on a call and must speed or otherwise drive erratically, they should have their lights on.

SPOHN 04-10-2011 11:41 AM
