douche in a lambo.
 

So me and the wife are taking a Sunday drive in the Z when a lambo gallardo is up ahead of me at the light. Me and the wife are like kool, a lambo. Well I normally move briskly on the road so without instigation I began accelerating up the road. It seems the lambo driver notices me catching up so he starts moving quick as well. I didn't think anything of it at first. I just thought he was moving quick for the same reason as I. Then i notice that he would slow down whenever I slowed down and speed when I speed up. He was trying to agg me into some kind of stupid race... what an idiot.
He was really pissing me off and I knew that the upcoming road was crappy. Too crappy for a lambo but not crappy enough for my Z. I knew if I played into his game I can make him feel like an idiot. Not cuz my car was faster... I just know those roads and know a lambos weakness.
I decided instead to just turn into a Sonic and buy my wife an ice cream. Why give a bad name to Z drivers. All I'm sayin is you gotta be one rich effin loser with micro penis syndrome to be driving around in a 200k+ car and looking for races with 36k sports cars.

Honestly, what other kind of person would buy a Lambo but a douche?

If money was absolutely no object I still wouldn't spend 200k on a car that screams 'hey everyone look at me I need attention'

Money can buy a lot of things, but it cannot buy class or brains...

Similar thing happened to me on the road the other day.. I was with my GF and saw a black Gallardo up ahead.. It was some old guy accompanied by his grandson maybe (little boy on the passenger's seat)..

So, I was cruising normally and past by him probably at around 40mph and then a car crossed into my lane so I downshifted to speed down a little bit... A combination of my exhaust setup + Synchro-Rev made the guy understood I was ready to go so he just stepped on it like he stole it and off he went..

My GF and I just looked at each other with a big :wtf: face...

That was me and my wifes reaction. Actually she's the one that vocalized the fact of what he was doing.

Oh I dunno... seems like a lot of assumptions here. Are there douches out there that drive supercars and think their poop don't stink? Sure. But I know personally that I have had a lot of instances where I get a thumbs up from people in cars like that and we step on the gas together and have a bit of fun. Happens quite a bit actually :rolleyes:

Doesn't mean your assumption wasn't legit... it's just that. An assumption. And if money absolutely was no object, you bet I would buy a damn supercar. And in a bright color too. And you're lying your nuts off if you claim you would do any different.

Id buy a supercar in a heartbeat. But you gotta admit. The lambo is quite the cliché. I would rock an alfa competizone or a 458 italia in a heartbeat. I also love the R8 and GT-R. A douche is a douche though n I'm callin that punk out as a douche. Lol.

Anybody with a car can be a douche... regardless, I marvel at the McLaren MP4-12c, or Porsche Carrera GT, and 458 Italia (off the top of my head). :D

There's far more douches driving Mustangs and Camaros, and they act like they have a major chip on their shoulder.

If I had the spare money, I would definitely buy a lamborhgini just to see how many cars try to race me. It seems like the dude was just trying to have some fun. What fun is driving slow with 500+hp under the hood?

It's not just the supercars, last night, while driving my gf home from the airport a c6 corvette pulls up beside. While doing 70 on the highway, he matched me in the lane next to me, then took off about 20ft...then slowed to match me again. Then did it again. My girl and I looked at each other and continued our conversation. He tried once more to get me going but it felt so immature.

You know you guys do it when a lesser car comes up quickly behind you. All of us have our moments of douchiness. :D

Just try not to make it the norm and you'll be good. :tup:

I saw a Koenigsegg CCR near Universal Autosports (might have been their car), and the guy gave me a thumbs up. I was pretty happy.

Sounds like he was just tryin to have some 4 wheeled fun. You could have saved some money and just bought a Prius.

its always alil fun to get on the throttle,i always enjoy alil competition especailly against a supercar..if i had the extra cash i'd have my Z WORKED and a nice lil ferrari on the side

tho, I admit, the speeding up and slowing down is on par with douchbaggery, but again, I agree with m4a1mustang, we all have our "moments"

Universal Autosports is the only official dealer, and when it opened up to Koenigsegg a few years ago, Mr. Koenigsegg himself visited the dealer (while I was there), and the dealer was offering test drives on a blue koenigsegg they had. Unfortunatley I was too young to test drive it (17 or 18), however a salesman gave me a ride around the block.

I'd rather the guy at least get on it whether he's a douche or not. It seems that every time I come across a supercar they're driving 60 mph in a 65 zone in the right lane. Always a 50+ y/o guy with white hair, a baseball cap, and sunglasses.

I definitely get how ridiculous it looked but some of us do the same damn thing to ricers so whatever...Id be a hypocrite if I talked sh*t about the lambo driver.

Yea, I tend to do the same when I see an 91' Civic with a fart can and some tribal graphics.

I think all 370Z drivers are douches. Dont believe me, why dont you ask any guy who drives a Huyndai or toyota corrola or honda fit.

when i used to drive a corrola, i thought any guy who drove $30K+ sports car was a douche.

Now that I drive a $30K sports car, i think any guy who drives a $50K+ sports car is douche.

If you ask anyone who drives a $50K+ sports car, he thinks anyone who drives $100K+ sports car is a douche.

Way back in '09ish when I first joined the forum (and still had my Z) I said something like, "When I had my Mustang I used to think all 350Z drivers were douchebags. Now that I've got my 370 I think all Mustang drivers are douchebags!"

....I did that. there was a CIVIC YOYOBESTCARSEVERSOOOORICE meeting about 5 minutes away from our store.

I passed by them several times. downshifting hard with the FI CBE+LTH in the corners sure got alot of pointing and staring.

later I parked my car right infront of them and started walking around the meeting.

there were reactions of jealous and RAAAAGE :stirthepot:though some guys went up to me and told me how awesome my car was. :roflpuke2: though there was one guy that went all "yo my civic can beat your car" I looked at his car. it was so riced out that it was sad.

I don't like the civics but I have to admit a white civic mugen edition(? not sure whatever civics have) with matte black rims was pretty nice.

Real JDM Type R integra's and civic's are fun track cars...as fun as FWD, no torque cars can be.

I've never had the pleasure to drive an Integra Type R but I would love the opportunity. I hear they really are a pretty sweet car.

I agree anyone in any car can be a douche. My friend has a murcielago and no douche even though I joke with him that he is....lol.

Price of a car doesn't mean its faster either. I had a z06 that kept up with gallardos just fine....but honestly I felt like a douche driving a vette. Lol.

Anyone of us can be the next douche....embrace the douche, harness the douche, be one with the douche.....and most importantly...douche often...lol.
