Noise Reduction in the Z34 370Z car is now a primary focus for Nissan engineers. Due to rising complaints from internet-based communities such as the370z.com, Nissan engineers have put research and development of oil coolers and brake ducts on hold. They are focusing energy and resources on developing sound deadening technologies that they claim will make the cabin of the brand's aggressive two-seater sports car as quiet as the back seat of The Queen of England's Bentley limousine. Inside sources say that Nissan is partnering with acclaimed audio components manufacturer, Bose, to incorporate their patented noise-canceling technology into the Z car's on-board entertainment system. Also working on the project is Dynamic Control, the developer of Dynamat, the visco-elastic film that promotes vibro-acoustic energy conversion.
Other technologies in development include Nissan logo earplugs, discounts on Nissan's luxury-oriented Infinity G37 and cheese to go with that whine.

:bowrofl:

What's most funny (and sad) is the thought that NISSAN would even bother to research oil coolers and brake ducts. :p

Dynamic Control

He's my hero. He is the DC in VDC.

We are going to get to keep the great breaking car we bought since they won't be fixing the brake ventilation or oil overheating issues! :D

BTW, you do realize you have just as good a handling vehicle as you bought, right? Nothing Nissan does in the future will improve your car's handling.

After several meetings with the Bose audio engineers, Nissan engineers have decided that in order to bring the noise level down, they have decided to go all electric on their next 400Z generation which will be out in late 2012, which means the 370Z will be the last model that runs on fuel.

LunaZ 01-24-2011 05:13 PM

Ha!

ProfessorDave 01-24-2011 07:04 PM

LunaZ: first, you have too much time on your hands. Those reading your post in Japan will laugh at the laziness of Americans as they drive their Leaf's around their fancy island.

Second, you have given others the impression that people from Pennsylvania have a sense of humor. As you know, the effing cold winters freeze our funny bones solid, leaving only seriousness and enjoyment of Amish outfits.

Finally, one should not joke about matters involving oil coolers. Just this morning when it was -5 my oil temps soared to almost 100 degrees, forcing me to pull over as I knew the dreaded limp mode was just a few hundred degrees away. As I tried to listen to the Bose cranked to MAX I dreamed some talanted upstart at Nissan would read our posts and send us oil coolers. Now we have only whine coolers.

OK, seriously, that was some funny doody! :icon17::roflpuke2::bowrofl::tiphat:

EazyD 01-24-2011 08:04 PM

First thought: "Whoa, they mentioned the370z.com"
Second thought: "Oh it's some feature that will probably only be for future models"
Third thought: "Or maybe those with Bose can upgrade for a fee"
Fourth thought: "Heh, the last paragraph was added on by the OP"
Fifth thought: "Oh, the whole thing is fake."
Sixth thought: "Duh."
Final thought: "Holy crap noise canceling from the radio is a good idea!!!!!!!!"

holy ****, that almost exactly how it went down for me! :icon18:

CBRich 01-26-2011 05:10 PM

It's about time Nissan did something about this. I expected my lightweight two seater sports car to be absolutely silent. Not to mention the doors should thunk like a Miata's.

Bodytechz 02-01-2011 10:35 AM

Well, I just ordered my Z 2 weeks ago and hope that they implement the noise reduction change while building my Z. That would save me the time, effort and $ from doing it myself. SWEET!

Red__Zed 02-01-2011 10:38 AM

go ahead and re-read that paragraph.
