Coffee wouldn't make people so fat if they didn't put so much sugar and cream in it. On its own, coffee is a dieretic. But cream is almost pure fat.

Too bad Starbucks coffee is so awful you basically have to put in sugar and cream in it.

Considering most people probably don't drink just straight coffee at Starbucks, they're ingesting massive amounts of calories. Mocha Latte with whipped cream and whole milk comes to around 450 calories for a Venti. Basically one meal.

And yes, Starbucks was, and maybe still is going for class. But when you standardize your design over 10,000 stores, that's something you can never obtain.

It is a joke, it is designed to fit certain things to make a humorous point.
Yes, grande is large in Italian but that would ruin the fun.

Yeah, but 3/4 of that volume is ice, which you don't drink anyway. I'm willing to bet the 916 mL is only 400 mL of liquid.

If you wait a while, the ice melts, and it's all liquid.

No one would drink that.

If they're in the crawlspace, and I give them the options of the coffee I forgot I had or the fish offal, they usually choose the coffee.

Starbucks, like all coffee shops, has many different flavors. If you find all 20 of them bad, then I don't know what to say It could be you hate coffee in general, or have formed a bias against the starbucks brand.

I, myself, only like a few of them, but I'm not going to over generalize on their flavor. I don't touch any of the flavored junk, if that's what you're talking about.

on a srs note, I like drinking coffee black. I used to load it up with all sorts of sh*t: sugar, splenda, creamer, french vanilla, irish creme, etc.

When you take all the sh*t out of your coffee, you actually acquire the taste for coffee. Same thing with tea. It's made the whole experience better for me, but obv. that's a personal opinion.

Depends on the coffee one drinks. If I'm drinking the **** from a convenience store, I'll throw in the irish cream. If I'm at an actual coffee house, that may be a different story.

Actually, I like Wawa coffee, but yeah, some conv. store coffee is rat turds.

Pike Place Roast or whatever they call it is pretty good.

I actually think dunkin donuts has underrated coffee.

I love DD coffee, although I'm a fat man, so it doesn't count.

Anatoray 01-17-2011 08:18 PM

Single flavor brands are the where you'll find the most lovers and haters. I think DD has a decent blend for its only coffee offering. By contrast, I think McDonalds is horrid. Something about it just doesn't taste good to me no matter how I have it.
