I only drink my coffee with shitloads of sugar and milk....cant imagine how much sugar and milk il need for this.
|
steve is getting the shakes already
|
Yeah, but 3/4 of that volume is ice, which you don't drink anyway. I'm willing to bet the 916 mL is only 400 mL of liquid.

Lol, this completely does away with the image of class Sbux goes for.

to me, every other coffee shop (coffee bean & tea leaf especially) exudes more class than sbux. |

Danny: Can I get a large black coffee?
Barista: A what? Danny: Large black coffee. Barista: Do you mean a venti? Danny: No, I mean a large. Barista: Venti is large. Danny: No, venti is twenty. Large is large. In fact, tall is large and grande is Spanish for large. Venti is the only one that doesn't mean large. It's also the only one that's Italian. Congratulations, you're stupid in three languages. Barista: A venti is a large coffee. Danny: Really? Says who? Fellini? Do you accept lira or is it all euros now? |

And yes, Starbucks was, and maybe still is going for class. But when you standardize your design over 10,000 stores, that's something you can never obtain. |
Too bad they are not making a trenta for hot beverages :shakes head:

Starbucks. Helping fat people maintain their level of fatness with a caffeine twitch on the side.
|
Coffee wouldn't make people so fat if they didn't put so much sugar and cream in it. On its own, coffee is a dieretic. But cream is almost pure fat.

Yes, grande is large in Italian but that would ruin the fun. |

I, myself, only like a few of them, but I'm not going to over generalize on their flavor. I don't touch any of the flavored junk, if that's what you're talking about. |
on a srs note, I like drinking coffee black. I used to load it up with all sorts of sh*t: sugar, splenda, creamer, french vanilla, irish creme, etc.
When you take all the sh*t out of your coffee, you actually acquire the taste for coffee. Same thing with tea. It's made the whole experience better for me, but obv. that's a personal opinion. |

Pike Place Roast or whatever they call it is pretty good.

I actually think dunkin donuts has underrated coffee.

Single flavor brands are the where you'll find the most lovers and haters. I think DD has a decent blend for its only coffee offering. By contrast, I think McDonalds is horrid. Something about it just doesn't taste good to me no matter how I have it.
|
I actually think McDs is pretty decent, but I do prefer DD.

I'd have to ask an employee with more than half a brain to find out what exactly is in their iced coffee. Whenever I see them making it, it looks like its all cream and no milk and nowhere near enough coffee, which also appears to be from an espresso machine. It's mroe like some kind of messed up iced latte than actual iced coffee.
