Sarah and I are going to be getting a puppy come late July/early August. We are going on Sunday (don't worry, before the game) to check out a breeder.

Everything going well, this would be the dad:

And this would be the mom:

Dad is a big dog:

So we went to the breeder this weekend. After seeing the dogs (they have 13 females and one male) we put a deposit down on a male from the same dad but this female:

We really loved the colouring she has. They had a boy there who was just under a year that came from those two and he had just amazing colouring!

The other thing that changed was timing. Looks like we will be getting a little guy around the end of May rather then they late July/Early August we had wanted however, the breeder is going to have three litters this year. Two a week apart in May and the other in late June. We are getting married June 22nd so that wouldn't work. If we waited we would have to wait until Feb next year....

We want to go with this breeder as my dad got two German Shepherds from them over 30 years ago!

Cant Wait!!!

Definitly a dog lover at heart. Seeing the Shepard above always makes me laugh because of the mutant dog I have. He is a German Shepard/Corgi mix from what we can tell.

Those of you who went to ZDayZ last year probably saw either myself or my wife walking him around.

This was taken when he was about 8 months old. He is about a year old now. Only weighs about 30 lbs now.

Even made it into our little recap clip for ZDayz LOL...Z1 Motorsports: ZDayZ 2012 on Vimeo

Just saw this thread. Guess I should post by Dogs Zeus (Dobe) and Zulu (Pitmutt). I'm a vet so I guess I count as a dog lover.

Sorry to hear about it. I wish I knew what to say to make you feel better, but I don't. Remember the good times.

Question for the dog lovers. Does anyone feed a raw diet? (B.A.R.F diet)

A bit late on the reply but just found this thread- Very sorry to hear. I trust that by the way you feel that you gave him the best life anyone ever could. Most dogs selflessly love their people and leave lasting impressions for sure.

before we got the doggy door we use to leave the door open in the summer so he could go in and cool down while we where in the pool. he figured out how to keep an eye on us and keep cool at that same time LOL

My fam has a husky they kept on a raw diet for the last year or so...they've migrated back to 50/50 as the dog was eating $50 of food a day.

I'll likely do a mix with my next dog as well.

Not sure if this was posted before, but this video was made for dog lovers. Its a play on "god made a farmer" as reintroduced to many in the super bowl advert.
