Roberts said when he objected while wearing a full uniform, airport security sent him through a metal detector, then told him he would have to be frisked. He declined, and that's when things got uncomfortable; airport police were summoned, talked with Roberts, and eventually demanded his information. He claims he gave most of what they wanted — but stopped short when asked to provide his bosses' name and telephone number.

I love some of the comments from the TSA agents where they say, who cares about your rights. Really? Maybe I do.

The creation of the TSA was nothing more than a sweater swap. They took the morons working for the private security companies and gave them government jobs. It was akin to giving Barney Fife and extra bullet to put in his pocket. I commuted to Denver for several years, in full uniform, and I can't tell you the number of times I've had to deal with these idiots. I even had one TSA agent touch the metal detector as I walked through just to set it off and cause me to have to go through a "secondary screening". I saw the agent touch the detector as plain as day and confronted him. I told him I wanted to talk to his supervisor. The supervisor sided with the agent, of course. I fly corporate now and would quit flying altogether if I had to deal with the TSA on a regular basis.

Pilot Who Refused Full-Body Scan Railed Against TSA For Months

More pilots are stepping forward now demanding they not be required to go through full body scans.

Everybody else...don't let Michael stand alone on this. This affects all of us. On the one hand, it's ridiculous. What would I even DO with a weapon if I managed to get one on the plane? I already HAVE the plane?...And on the other hand, it's not only a violation of our rights, it's a big potential health risk. Seriously, do you want to go through an X-Ray machine three or four days a week for the next twenty odd years? Yeah, THAT's perfectly safe....

I've got a job that is all about protecting people from radiation exposure and I have to say that running through these scans as often as a pilot would is a real health risk.

I was reading the job description today, you don't even have to have a high school diploma/GED. You just have to of worked as a security guard for a year.

Sounds like a rent-a-cop to me.
