Better dry it, because we all know it's part of (beef) jerky....

I've done the same thing to a much lesser extent. I was holding down a ruler and ran the xacto right along the side of it. Didn't take more than a sliver and didn't even realize I'd done it until I started bleeding everywhere.

That's exactly what happened. it actually didn't start bleeding for like 5 sec.

Damn! Glad you are alright, that is pretty gnarly! I've done similar things, it is not fun at all although it makes for good conversation haha.

Well today I was working on an art project for school. I was cutting some thick paperboard with an exacto knife and at the last part of my cut, the knife slipped off my t square and sliced a piece of my index finger right off. I feel incredibly dumb and very lucky that it was such a small piece. So anyway I thought I'd share the story. Careful out there people. haha

I almost cut off my thumb years ago. I was pulling the metal strip to open the can of SPAM(poor college kid all i could afford) and my thumb slipped and cut to the bone and the doctor had to reattach it. My thumb is completely healed now but every winter it feels very painful. You will also experience that pain for the rest of your life every winter. other people i know in similar situation, experience similar pain too.
