Do you want to get there safe, or not at all? Religious fanatic terrorists want you dead. They have no desire to rape your wife or daughter, they "dress" like the American whore, they want them dead also!

Mike 11-21-2010 06:46 PM

The TSA has never found any weapons intended to be used on an airplane. They are a bunch of uneducated neanderthals. And, while I don't have kids, If I did, I wouldn't want one of those losers feeling her up and traumatizing her for life.

There's no doubt some of them are morons, just like their are moron cops, pilots and so on. If TSA only stopped one bomber out of 300 million people screened would you say that it was worth it?

Mike 11-21-2010 07:37 PM

No, I wouldn't. There is a reason why they call it terrorism. When we let TSA get away with this crap, the terrorists win. There are much more effective methods than what they are doing. This is all window dressing. We need to actively profile passengers, like the Israelis do.

CBRich 11-21-2010 08:18 PM

Smoke and mirrors.

More effective methods than what they are doing.- Why don't you tell us of these methods?

profiling. Grandma and your 13 year old aren't terrorists, neither are 99.99% of the people traveling and everyone knows it. The Israelis question everyone, and it doesn't matter what they ask, its the reaction they look for.

Pushing Tin asked about screening 300 million to find one terrorist.
My airline carries 170 million passengers per year and we are about 1/6th of the traffic. so that would mean about 1 billion plus per year in the USA. We have been at this since 9/11 for 9+ years, so that is close to 10 billion passengers and we haven't found one terrorist.

Your calling it a failure. Suppression is working. Until Mahmud finds a back door, he knows the front door is rather useless to enter! On the same token, "Don't be mislead by the calm"!

Actually... there is a good reason to screen even old white people...

Anyone see the report about that young (22ish year old) Asian guy who dressed in and Old white guy mask and used an ID showing a 55year old DOB. He was only caught after removing the mask in the Airplane Lav. YES HE MADE IT ONTO THE AIRCRAFT.

On the other hand, all of this extra security has basically caused a cluster of people at the Security line. Well, the true task of a terrorist isn't to get onto an airplane, it's to kill people. So now U have a large cluster of people, sometimes larger than most aircraft can handle, just sitting there. What is to stop a suicide bomber to just get into the middle of this line and explode? How easy could it be for a few of these guys to organize a simultaneous hit at LAX, NY, Boston, etc. They would kill hundreds, and it would put a huge halt on air travel, temporarily. Just as a Security measure is put into place, it just opens a new opportunity. Besides...all this high security, they still leave gigantic holes left for a terrorist to take advantage of.

Take San Diego Airport for example.... I am there very often and I never see any security roaming the perimeter. All it takes is for a terrorist group to get someone to work on the inside, say.. a catering company. They roam the grounds of the airport all day. Someone could literally throw something over the fence and this guy comes and gets it. He can get right on to an airplane with that material.

These points are actual concerns by real pilots.

not racial profiling, terrorist profiling. The Israelis question everyone. It doesn't even matter what questions they ask, its how the people respond, and they are very good at weeding them out.

I just heard on the radio today, that there is an Al Qaida magazine they put out in Saudi Arabia, I can't remember the name of it right now, but they had a statement on the toner cartridge bombs. They cost about $4200 each and weren't designed to kill lots of Americans, just to blow the planes up and kill the pilots, thereby causing the west to spend billions more on additional security checking for toner bombs. Once again, they are winning.

And, here is another example of why these TSAholes shouldn't be doing these enhanced pat downs:
TSA pat-down leaves traveler covered in urine - Travel - News - msnbc.com

and why aren't they wanding anymore? You set off a metal detector so they pat you down to see if you have non metallic items? That is ridiculous.

I will say, I have nothing against the scanners, and welcome those, its the other stuff thats out of hand.

I'm not referring to racial, just plain discrimination, and that will happen. Some one, no matter what race, or color will scream that. Which will bring bring in Gloria Allred.
If you choose not to be scanned, then you have to be patted down.

not if you question everyone and treat everyone the same. The muslims are already screaming because they don't want their women subjected to pat downs, someone is always going to scream.

I guess I'm just not ready to give up liberty for security, and I fly the planes. Plus the TSAholes are idiots. As a crewmember, I am able to have liquids in my bags. Sometimes when I travel for leisure, and am not exempt, I forget to take them out. Its probably happened about 10 times, and not once have they even seen them or stopped me.

daisuke149 11-22-2010 07:31 PM

I agree with Mike

the issue isnt so much the organization itself but its how their doing what they are doing.. and honestly.. the quality of people they hire. Almost reminds me of being at the DMV...

but funny thing is with my last name and my look ive never once had to go through any special security or checks. :D i just screwed myself for my next flight.

And also I think someone said it earlier, if we have to rely on the TSA to catch the terrorists.. we've already lost .. its too late.
