I just heard on the radio today, that there is an Al Qaida magazine they put out in Saudi Arabia, I can't remember the name of it right now, but they had a statement on the toner cartridge bombs. They cost about $4200 each and weren't designed to kill lots of Americans, just to blow the planes up and kill the pilots, thereby causing the west to spend billions more on additional security checking for toner bombs. Once again, they are winning. And, here is another example of why these TSAholes shouldn't be doing these enhanced pat downs: TSA pat-down leaves traveler covered in urine - Travel - News - msnbc.com and why aren't they wanding anymore? You set off a metal detector so they pat you down to see if you have non metallic items? That is ridiculous. I will say, I have nothing against the scanners, and welcome those, its the other stuff thats out of hand. |

If you choose not to be scanned, then you have to be patted down. |

I guess I'm just not ready to give up liberty for security, and I fly the planes. Plus the TSAholes are idiots. As a crewmember, I am able to have liquids in my bags. Sometimes when I travel for leisure, and am not exempt, I forget to take them out. Its probably happened about 10 times, and not once have they even seen them or stopped me. |
I agree with Mike
the issue isnt so much the organization itself but its how their doing what they are doing.. and honestly.. the quality of people they hire. Almost reminds me of being at the DMV... but funny thing is with my last name and my look ive never once had to go through any special security or checks. :D i just screwed myself for my next flight. And also I think someone said it earlier, if we have to rely on the TSA to catch the terrorists.. we've already lost .. its too late. |

I am totally against all these new security rules. There's a balance between freedom and security. We're way too far on the wrong end of the spectrum at this point. Short of sneaking a big ol suicide vest onto a plane, what hte hell is one or a few terrorists with box cutters or knives, or even a gun going to to? there's a whole flight full of people, can't cut, shoot or kill everyone. Plus odds are an air marshal is on the flight too. Quite being sheeple, if some bastard gets up on a flight and yells alahua akbar, and starts waving a weapon, the guy next to him needs to just kill the mohterfucker. Too long the citizens of this country have taken their "rights and freedoms" for granted, it's time more folks take responsibility for the priviledge that being an american is and step up and defend it vs. waiting for someone else (ie. in this case the TSA) to do it for us. PS--I think this country is doomed however and it makes me very sad... We are rotting from the inside out and most people can't even see it, or choose to bury their head in the sand. |
IMO bless every plane with pigs blood on its maiden voyage. Problem solved.

so are you guys who are for this going to complain when one of these terrorists sticks explosives up his rectum and we all start getting body cavity searches? When does it end? What is your limit?
|
not related, but yesterday one of these TSAholes kidnapped a woman from the airport parking lot here in Atlanta, brought her to his house and raped her, then released her and attempted suicide. That is the quality of worker they hire.
|
What? I thought the tsa are all ex-black ops agents or highly trained anti terror experts of some kind.

Soldiers rape, policemen rape, doctors rape, dentists rape, teachers rape! Your statement about the quality of worker for the TSA is useless! |
