Depends on your settings, honestly. It is hard to really judge since we don't know what the Z's settings would be in real life. I would say though that with everything off, it can be comparable to turning VDC off, provided you have a wheel set up.

tires too play a role... sport soft feels pretty good on the car and feels similar to the ones ive driven.. when you had to drive the 370 on the comfort tires in GT Academy it was horrible and made me hate Z's for like a week lol

Yeah, those comfort tires turned the Z into a slip 'n slide. Even the braking was horrid.

the GT academy thing so far was a debacle.. i spent alot of time on round 1

they ended up having to cancel round 2 after changing the tracks twice due to cheating..

on round 1 i got 260th which is the last spot on the leaderboard ....i just felt good about that and wished they would have taken the top 260 since thats how many rankings they showed :( i know the reason i didnt get 128th.. the cape ring track.... on the other 2 tracks i was only 1-2 secs off but on cape ring i was a good 5-6 secs and thats what killed my over all time...but there was a place in cape ring before that big jump where you could swing wide and go off the track to keep momentum... i didnt do it but i think thats were the top handful of guys were picking up alot of that time.. i drove my absolute *** off and got 2:50 as my best time

also on the Rome track in the G37 before the straightaway you could bounce off one of those walls to keep momentum.... again i suspect that was some of the difference in time again


the new software patch is supposed to fix this to make round 3 fair......

Yeah, I didn't score an overall rank, mainly due to not knowing the "limits" of the tracks for the event. I had some laps that felt perfect, but would be 2-5 seconds off the top 128, which really made me wonder. I had no idea people were actually using exploits though.

Wow I never thought you could cheat in GT5 haha. That's still impressive that you got 260 though.

oh yeah you could cheat really bad on the round 2 Indy road course.. there was a place where you could cut through the grass and take out two turns.... the penalty system didnt pick up on it and the top 10 players had 3-4 sec faster times than what was deemed possible to do..... they changed out that track and added another but people were still cheating so they canceled the whole round and moved everyone directly to round 3...

but i mean i put alot of time in it and atleast i show up on the board in my region... to get in the 128 i would of had to get my cape ring time in the mid 2:40's

for the competitions they should treat it like NASA or SCCA would treat a time trial... contact = DQ session.... 4 wheels off anywhere = DQ session

PSN levi_xs I'm lvl 22 and I don't have a wheel I love to race clean just need some friends to play with and do a proper race... Not like the ones you find online

some sort of glitch people found... i mean usually it will turn your lap time red when you do stuff like that but like i said i guess there are areas people found where it didnt register... im going to guess on the Indy one someone just went off in the grass by accident and noticed it didnt invalidate the lap and then just passed it on to others.. thats how i found out about the cape ring area.. i pushed way out off the track and noticed my time was still white..

the new patch is supposed to fix all that and thats why the round 3 went live today... i wish i would have made it... i bet i could have done good on the actual show as i actually have alot of autoX experience and a fair amount of track experience in Zs and GT-Rs which i assume will be the real life cars the contestants will use... :mad:

I don't remember the 370Z being the A-Spec menu option. Is this new, or does the A-Spec/B-Spec pictures change? They sure do love the Z's, with the Dealership being the 370Z headlight, and the Used Cars dealer being the 350Z taillight.

it changes as you progress.. once you get to endurance on Aspec the left side driver will be shaking the right sides hand
