Lots of tense stuff today.

This has been one of the best car forums I have been on. Great info without a lot of attitude. I am as guilty as anybody for slamming someone that seems to be coming across as non-genuine towards the Z performance love. After sitting back and looking at today's posts, there are lots of new people joining up to express their Z thoughts. Some are interested in maximizing performance through mod tweaks to get a car that just can not be beat for the value. Others think it is cool to ride around in a Z and have fun being a kid.

Let's figure out a way to keep all of the positive energy towards Zs moving forward. Debate is good, opinion is good, information is good, etc... Having all this with a cool community is great! :tup:

sometimes the negative ppl find things that could be improved...and whats bad about a kid with a 370z trying to have fun anyways.........??

I never understood why ppl hate the kids that get a 370z from there parents......just let them be...some ppl are more fortunate than others......

Im taking it they bought yours. You may not be one of those punk ones who take advantage which is good. However, the majority of young people DO. If you are a kid and get something just handed to you then you are less likely to respect it.

my mom paid a 1/4 of it....

and if i mess it up, i'll get messed up.......so that's more than enough to keep it in tip top shape

Nothing big, just a few of us have been pretty hard on some here lately. I must be getting soft since this is not my normal modis operandi, being the anal, overly analytical engineering geek that I am. Love facts and how to tweak anything to its theoretical max. Emotions and personal feelings have no value except for those looking for social gains. Ramble, ramble, ramble.....

Just wanted to give a jolt from the side of considering the forum is growing and pointing out that there are lots of reasons for why people want to buy Zs and be here.

I see a lot of growth in this here forum so I hope we can continue to hold ourselves to a high standard.

It certainly does mean biting the tongue at times.

I've noticed a lot of new members which have an intentional drag on the site.
Trolls exist now...lame. it was fun for a while, but I think we are going to need some site mods added to the usual fray. The 350Z forum crowd has made it here and things are getting d1ckish.

^^ totally agree. Forum mods are the way to go. I hate to see good sites get pulled down by trolls, especially this one.

I am suspecting this forum will be as good as it is till young posers get their hands on this car when it is used and cheaper. We just have to let them calm down and as soon as someone thinks that the 370z is like a Ferrari, like they do at my350z.com, he/she needs to be e-kicked in the face. As long as we kick them in the face like we do on g35driver, the forum should stay as informative and fun as it is now.

I've been noticing a general degradation in the tone of some of the posts lately as well. Well at least now I know it's not just my own perception. We just need to take the high road, so to speak, and not sink to the lower levels. In my experience, if you allow yourself to get into it with someone who's an immature d*ck, you just end up encouraging him even more, because that's what he came looking for to begin with -- a childish trash-talking spat. It's hard to resist the temptation sometimes though! :rolleyes:

Many years ago, I joined my350, and when I noticed how negative everyone was, I made the naive mistake of posting a thread asking why everyone gets bent out of shape so easily. Everyone got bent out of shape and piled on with all these negative responses. Go figure.

First of all, we will do our best to keep these forums being spammed by trolls or flamers. Most of you guys are frequent member of many other forums and I'm sure you guys are familiar with the "report post" http://www.the370z.com/images/buttons/report.gif button. It's almost impossible for us to check every thread on the forums but we do check EVERY single reported post and take appropriate action. We encourage people to report a post instead of replying with a offensive reply. All it does is ignites the fire even more. If you see a post by someone that's out of line, report http://www.the370z.com/images/buttons/report.gif the post! DO NOT attack him/her back with an offensive post because if you do so, now you've violated the FORUM RULES

Also, I should mention, this is a public forum. All you need, to sign up here, is an email address and a computer. I can't stop there trolls or immature posters from signing up but I sure can revoke their privilege once they post something immature or offensive. Unless you guys report these posts, I have no way of knowing who these people are!

Just remember guys, we don't have kids running this site. AK370Z will take care of the trouble makers and he won't let things happen that the mods over at my350z let everyone get away with and they even harass members themselves which is pretty sad.

So far this site has been way more mature than the other site.

These forums allow people from all ages, religions, political affiliations, geographical areas and so on to come together, and as such it's inevitable that there will be some friction and disagreements from time to time. This is normal IMO, but shouldn't be allowed to degrade in a schoolyard atmosphere.

Agreed... This should be the SOP for every web board.

Ignore list in conjunction works as well..

overall, this forum is still has a better atmosphere than most other forums i've been to

and let's keep it that way
