Had several bimmers but the X5 has never done it for me. I like SUVs that can be taken off road or want a car that performs on the road.

Naaa, not saying that. It is good on the road compared to most SUVs. I just do not care about an SUV being good on the road. My wife's LX is comfy like a Escalade yet gets me too some steams to fish that other vehicles would have trouble with. Yet none of those SUVs behave like a 5 series does on the road. I think BMW is finally getting it right with their Gran Turismo. Too bad it will be a while before it hits the road. SUV like room yet great handling.

My old Infiniti QX4 rode nice on the road and was amazing offroading.

I had one and agree. Was a nice outfitted Pathfinder.
