IMO prostitution should be legal anywhere. Why does the government care what happens between two consenting adults? I can pay somebody to do my taxes, change my oil, mow my grass etc. but I can't pay some skank $25 for a BJ? Who cares?

Who knows... I understand the risks involved with it and all, but it's not like they're selling something like drugs. It may have to deal with the government's inability to tax it, meaning they can't make money off of it.

I'm sure it has to do with the spread of diseases as well, but I'm sure mostly the money. Legalizing prostitution and marijuana right now and taxing them could do a lot to help the government recover from the mess we are in.

If prostitution was legal, the government could create regulations, like in Amsterdam. There, you have to be clean in order to do it legally. Government approved hos!

I believe amsterdam has shut down half the brothels and many of it's hash bars int he last year in an attempt to clean up the place, lol.

I've been to Amsterdam - they may be legal, but they're still mad as march hares and stoked out on heroin. My wife didn't like it at all, but then again, she freaks out every time I accelerate.
