I buy all my music from amazon, because I like the mp3 format that I can use anywhere.

Not really an IT guy but Mac's are fairly resistant to viruses. I pay for music through Itunes and have no problems.

IMAC user and happy:tup:

I was in this exact situation before. :)
Mac's are very resistant to viruses but…

I switched to Mac (pro, book and imac), but I kept 1 PC JUST for my music.
I’m huge on music. I’m looking to work behind the scenes in the music industry. And I have spent THOUSANDS on music through itunes, but itunes does not have everything, so I also use limewire.
I didn’t want to take the risk with my precious new Macs. Especially because I paid for them in full with my own hard earned cash.
So I’d recommend you keep a PC or get a cheap one for all the risk taking/crap and pictures that accumulate.
I guess it depends on how much music you're talking...

Hope that helps :)

Download the application transmission for bit torrent sites. I use btjunkie.org to find what music I want, transmission does the rest :)

mac isn't fairly resistant, it's cuz no one really bothers making virus for it since most of the ppl use pc

I have had macs for over 6 years also a bit of an IT guy as well. Macs rarely ever get viruses and if you do download a song with a windows virus it is not going to effect your unix based mac OS. Me personally I want the best quality music I can get so I buy al my music in cd format than rip them in apple lossless. That way I am getting the best quality. i also agree with the above statement that limewire and other sites are illegal and with this sort of thing being cracked down on, I would not download illegally anyway.

i do not condone the use of bittorrent, the bittorrent client utorrent, or the usage of bittorrent index sites like supertorrents.org or isohunt.org.

Buy music from mp3fiesta.com.

Although the US music companies don't like it, it is perfectly legal and 90% cheaper!
