Long rough weekend
 

Not that it is anything Z related but I have to type up my first 13 page appellate brief for law school this weekend. The research wasn't that bad but going through 300+ pages to find the few select lines that support your perspective is a PIA. Add to it the legal citations which are difficult to learn in the beginning. Right now I have about 50% done and it's due at 11pm tonight. It'll be done and I'll have the Mrs. proofread it for me but damn before it know it, it'll be monday and I'll have to go back to class.

I can sort of relate. I did not go your all-out Law School route, but while doubling in Accounting and Finance I had to do a ton of heavy law stuff... lots of writing... lots and lots and lots of writing... ugh.

Anyways, good luck. Law is definitely interesting so it's easier to make yourself focus than writing about something totally random.

Well I'm glad this weekend and the next one I don't have to do any Case Study for my Master in Aeronautical Science.

I was freaking busy the past two weekend doing the finals so I feel your pain!

So what was the subject? What supportive info did you find to finish the brief?

What about all our brothers and sisters over in iraq fighting the war, you think they would rather be back at home sitting on the couch reading a book like you or getting shot at with ak-47s and blown up every day, not to mention if they survive they are emotionally destroyed too

I understand part of your point, however...

Some of them have the opportunity to study online and there are some colleges onsite that the soldiers can go to class within their Camp. ;)

First off I wasn't whining, how about you sit down with 300 pages worth of research and work on a paper and lets see how excited you are. Yes, I am lucky for the position I'm in, it was hard to get here, harder to stay here, and will be hard to get out of here. I wouldn't compare it to anyone protecting our country, they protect my right to learn and study law so thanks.

We should all appreciate how lucky we are to be free and we are able to do the things we want to do, i know you are just blowing off steam with your post but it comes across as a combination of you whinging and bragging

At least he is getting an education, so I don't think he is bragging. I'm getting my Master Degree which I posted a few times, so I guess I'm bragging too... :rolleyes:
