Huge spider crawled under my hood

You see, this post is funny because just last week I was sitting in my car talking to a buddy at which point I looked up and there was this spider about a inch in diameter sitting there staring at me...I jumped out the car as fast as I could and was damn near squealing in front of my house. I dont like spiders...

Well, when I was in the philippines staying with family in a small town I had a REALLY close encounter with a big spider. It all happened when I was half awake in bed, I felt small crawling things all over my arms and just dismissed it as ants. Then about an hr. later woke up and found that I had rolled over and killed a big mom spider carrying its babies on its back

....I guess I was in shock cause i just stared at it for like 2 mins before I jumped off the top bunk and took a huge breather outside. Glad I didn't sleep with a black widow
