ok i just rewatched a few important parts on hulu and something seems a strange the 2nd time through... is the audience being conned?

first of all the ajira plane has the front windows busted out and is that thing even capable of flying again ? 2nd .... sawyer is the one who volunteered the notion that widmore was there to kill or do harm to MIB widmore never confirmed it...he just smiled when sawyer was talking.... then sawyer goes back to the main island and MIB admits he didnt send sawyer over there to do recon on the passengers... so what did he send him over there for?

here is a out of left field theory

is it possible its a con and MIB and widmore really are working together? it might make sense except for the sonic fence being set up... that would seem to prove he and MIB arnt on the same side... but how about if its something crazy like a permanent body for MIB is locked in that room not a cast member like desmond..... maybe the smoke monster form is a curse MIB can be seperated from it ( maybe that explains the disembodied person in the rocking chair in the cabin.. and the sonic fence is maybe to keep the smoke monster away once seperated...

unlikley i know but rewatching it , it just doesnt make sense.. i dont believe MIB ever intends to use Ajira 316 he sent sawyer over there because he knew widmore was there.... also the part where claire cried and made up with kate seemed contrived..maybe he told her to "play nice" to kate after he pimp smacked her then whispered something in her ear.. she is claimed you know...


maybe im just trying to make more out of the episode than what it really was.. but the episode was called recon.. and if you go back and watch it ... i dont think things are as they seem.. i doubt the sonic fence theory is true but im do think MIB is one step ahead of sawyer

A few quick comments:

1.) Miles's ability to speak to the dead seemingly came after he and his mother left the island (in preparation for the explosion?). It's possible that, in the flash sideways, he never received that "gift" (like Locke's walking or Richard's immortality). That would make him one hell of a detective though!

2.) Why did it seem that Charlotte was looking for something? She didn't seem to simply be snooping around. She seemed intent on finding something specific. Do you think Cooper hired her? Maybe Miles is setting something up?

3.) I agree with MC on the possibility of MIB and Widmore working together. His smirk when Sawyer said he's walk MIB right into Widmore's trap told a story. The reason Widmore is there is still unknown, but I seriously doubt his plan is to kill MIB. His arrival after Jacob died is too coicidental.

4.) Next week's episode may rival "The Constant" as my favorite episode so far!
