We had an F2 rip thru the hood yesterday. Powers been out since about 5:30 yesterday. Hoping against all hope that they get it back on soon but I'm not optimistic. Trees and power lines down everywhere. I'm already taking mental.stock of all the food I'm going to have to throw out...

Hope you and MRS DAIZY are okay.

Get some ice and a cooler to save the perishables.

Send some of that rain to FL. At 8.30 PM last night, I could still feel the heat raising from the asphalt.

Sounds like you just need to move to GA with the amount of times you go there. I'm moving there soon, and we should move right next door to MZ DAIZY and put Brandon signage all over his yard :rofl2:

A small generator just for the freezer and fridge helps a lot.

https://www.fox13news.com/news/flori...r-deputies-say

"Florida baby dies after being left in hot car by babysitter now charged with manslaughter, deputies say."

:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Not sure why this keeps happening, but the penalty for this is too lenient, along with other laws/violations. Because of 1 person's negligence, another person (who is completely helpless) dies and in one of the worst ways of essentially being burned to death.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/21/busin...lly/index.html

"Stocks and consumer sentiment are rising in tandem after slumping last year, in another sign of growing optimism that the economy could dodge a recession."

Each and every time the Feds have tried to fight inflation, a recession ALWAYS followed. With Powell admittedly "not understanding inflation", highly doubt we will avoid a recession.

On a side note, a lot of people think back to the late 2000s when they hear "recession". The next expected upcoming recession shouldn't be to the likes of then (different market/circumstances).
