We lived 12 miles away from the towers on the other side of the Hudson. We were driving in to work when we heard on the radio that a plane had hit the WTC. I remember saying something to my wife like "these idiots in their Cessnas shouldn't be allowed to fly around downtown". We only found out a little later it wasn't a Cessna and it certainly wasn't an accident. It was a very odd feeling. The 6 of us at work hanging around in the office watching everything unfold on our little TV. I remember we were all speechless while we watched the first tower fall.

My Brother in law was a trader on the floor of the NYSE. I remeber my wife crying uncontrollably trying call him to see if he was still alive. This was in the early days of cell phones and the service was spotty on a good day. He turned out to be fine but spent the night in the exchange.

I could go on for days with this, but it really brings back a lot of sadness. A lot of friends and friends of friends and friends of family were needlessly murdered that day. I lost a cousin who was a PA cop last year who died of cancer they attributed to inhaling all the crap that was in the air while he was doing search and rescue. He was 58 yo.

Ok, that's enough! Happy thoughts!!!

Just got home from working 11pm to 7am. Sister called and said to put the tv on. I sat on the edge of my lazyboy watching everything happened. Was to be working on-site in Brooklyn the Sunday before for 3 weeks, but the job was cancelled at the last minute.

I think the thing that haunts me the most is the people that jumped from 90 stories to get away from the flames.

I lived up in PK at the time when it happened. Still filled with rage over that as a life long NYer.

Knicks in 5 btw.

Okay yes, so happy thoughts!

I sure do miss the 90's/early 00's. Anyone watch WWF and the Attitude Era back then? I happened to come across a random RAW episode on Netflix and I'm like WTF happened? WTF sh!t storyline is this? No substance, no entertainment. I even miss the various camera light flashes (when cell phones weren't a thing) when the superstars would go up on the ring posts. Rock, Steve Austin, HHH, Taker, Kane, Mick Foley....

*Rock trolling and mimicking HHH*:

Rock [imitating how HHH speaks]: "Tonight uhhhh....I am the game uhhhh. And in this very ring uhhhh for the next 20 min uhhhh I'm going to be talking uhhhh and saying absolutely nothing uhhhh....well the Rock says uhhh uhhh you absolutely SUCK!"

Loved the WWF in the 80's with Hulk, Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker, Mankind, etc. Best "fueds" ever! And yes, i know it was scripted, but it was so over the top you just had to love it!

It was like watching a live movie, and the storyline is what gets us interested. I'm surprised people thought it was real?

I've always wondered if the rumors of Macho Man and Stephanie McMahon were true.

Hulk had some of the greatest lines. "WELL LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHIN' BROTHER! WATCHU GONNA DO!" :rofl2:

Wrestling 1 and Wrestling 2. LOL My Papa watched them and Andre the Giant way back in the day.

I remember my grandmother babysitting me watching wrestling. If Bruno Sammartino was on. You couldn't get close to her, as she was swinging. She knew his family from the old country community here in sw Pa. She had to have her bottle of beer while watching wrestling on tv.

His one son, David does trackdays at PittRace with a Atom. I've talked to him a few times.
