National Guard is handing out bottled water and police are at the fuel stations that have fuel. Most of them ran out.

Spooler 09-29-2024 05:46 PM

Some areas will not have power for 3 or 4 weeks.

How are you rusty?

Afternoon, fellas.

Today I finally picked up the last piece of the Upgrade-Your-Z puzzle. The rotors and pads. I bought DBA T3 5000 rotors and two full sets of pads, EBC Bluestuff NDX front and rear, and also EBC RP1 front and rear. I figure this should cover me for some time to come.

And with that, the upgrades list is basically done. My car will eventually need a new fuel pump, maybe clutch....but upgrades are completed. Pretty stoked about slowing down my cash expenditure on the Z :)

I'm not sure if you heard or not, but last sunday night, Nismo went to go be with the lord. She was almost 13, my girlfriend and I knew it was time.. I'm crushed, it hasn't been easy. She was such an incredible dog that everyone loved. May God bless her and welcome her into his kingdom.

Ah man… Sorry you lost your pup. My Bernese girls are coming up on 12 years old and we’re starting to deal with some issues. I too will be crushed when they pass. Not looking forward to that at all.

i wish i would have taken nismo to the beach more than I did, she loved it out there.. and just that alone eats at me..

Just bought a 2021 Grand Cherokee with a 5.7 Hemi. Didn’t get the 6.4 SRT because amounts of theft happening and the length criminals would go to get it.

5.7 models come with Quadralift self levelling. Dumbass car still tries to self level even when it’s just parked in the driveway (steep).

G sedan will eventually retire.

It is still really bad out there with downed power lines and trees. It is being a slow recovery. It did a number down here and it is even worse in the mountains. It is still crazy town around here. I am ready for it to settle down.

Things are getting cleaned up here. Ordered a generator for the next one.

I feel badly for the harder hit areas. I can’t imagine what it’s like to lose your home and loved ones missing.

I had a 2013 Grand Cherokee TrailHawk with the 5.7 Hemi. Loved the car. It had the air suspension on it. It had normal ride height. Aero, which lowered it about 2". Park, which squatted it all the way down. Then Offroad 1 which raised it about 2" over normal. Then Offroad 2 which raised it another 2".

Yup, trees failing on anything don't really matter. It can all be repaired. Losing a love one is dang tough. It really puts things into perspective.

Helene got real bad in the Valdosta area. There are 4 cell towers with major issues. One is bent like a banana, one guyed wire tower is leaning due to trees falling on them, and the other two are on the ground. It is very rare to lose a tower. Rarely happens.

I keep seeing this and it's a bit concerning that narratives like this just take root. You do realize that this is a false narrative right?

https://apnews.com/article/trump-fem...b63357186a1a15

And for those who don't wish to read, here is a snippet...

"“FEMA absolutely has enough money for Helene response right now,” Keith Turi, acting director of FEMA’s Office of Response and Recovery said. He noted that Congress recently replenished the agency with $20 billion, and about $8 billion of that is set aside for recovery from previous storms and mitigation projects."

I mean even the governor of Georgia, a republican, confirmed that they have everything they need and are actively going through the federal process and is satisfied. He also stated that he was grateful to have a direct line to the president, as Biden personally called him.

WOW, you actually believe what the AP news says. They have been lying like crazy the last couple of years.
