morning all ! :hello:

Trying to keep up w/ the leaves... put out at the curb 6 different occasions so far this year and out township has been very good about coming around next day to pick them up. Other years it took them a few days to get to and by the time they did the wind took care of that for them. :ugh2:

I've been to other members homes and can't imagine for some of you guys how you manage to keep up with it!

Good morning everyone :hello:
My house is surrounded by woods 360*. I’m going to hit again today and at least 1 more time ( maybe 2 ) before the snow flies.
I’ll have about 15 hrs. aZZ time on the mower mulching up the leaves this season :roflpuke2:

Dogs are the best. That's what makes it so hard when they pass. RIP Izzy.

Stay strong my good man :tiphat:

Pretty sure the head gasket is leaking on the Lexus :shakes head:

Trying to decide whether to attempt the fix myself as it would be a good learning opportunity. Knowing me, I'll tear into it one weekend and finish it up a few years later.

One of her prescriptions I picked up this morning is a capsule instead of the normal (usually chewable) tablet. I have to break up the tablet for her correct dose which I can't do with a capsule. Since the vet is closed my only option for getting the her med is to hit up an emergency clinic that's open. They can't prescribe anything without actually performing a physical exam on the animal. Right now they are on a 6-8 hour wait. So I drop the dog off and they'll call me when she gets her exam (around midnight presumably). They'll give me one tablet to last the weekend and I'm only out the cost of the emergency clinic exam fee

I'm at the office now  but I'm heading to the bar soon

I’m glad your pup is okay. Why is he on meds?

I’m so sorry man, that is heartbreaking to read. Like you said, you’ll see her again on the other side one day. She’ll always be with you in spirit.

She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure over a year ago. One med helps the heart pump better but fluid can still back up into her lungs. So she's also on a diuretic to help keep the fluid down. And there's kidney medication to help them deal with the extra stress of a full time diuretic.

She's doing really well all things considered and still has great quality of life. However, just one missed dose of the heart medication can really be debilitating for her.

Happy Tuesday everyone :hello:

Played some pickup basketball for the first time in over a decade last night. Didn't play terrible but not good either. My mind was working a lot faster than my body was that's for sure :icon17:

Checking in….

Alive and well in Central Florida with good news to share…Last Thursday, I had my 6 month post treatment scans and they were all clear.

Cancer free at 6 months out was extremely nice to hear. My previous two bouts of this stuff each reoccurred at only 3 months.

Still have my g-tube for all my food and drink but it’s not to bad. I am speaking fairly well but it sounds like I have a bad lisp due to them chopping out half of my tongue back in August of 2020

All in all, I’m still a kickin’ and a scratching down here in the swamp…
