What difference does it make? NSA has all the comms any way. Ya'll do know your SMS messages are transmitted in the clear and only the voice calls are encrypted.

E2E encryption is a thing. Tack on a VPN since most platforms utilize data to send nowadays and you have a fairly foolproof strategy. Get fancy with a pihole on your home network and you're golden.

There's a lot of it all over tech sites today. *Edit* It does appear that they are now saying you can opt out of it but you need to do so in privacy settings. Sprint customers in the past had to opt IN to such programs so be aware it is different and you have to say no. Earlier reportings said you couldnt opt out.
