My meaning of gators is tire chunks.

I've dodged a few of those moving telephone poles laying on the road on the highway between Miami to Tampa years ago.

Come on man... fried gator is not :yum: at all. If it were so good, there'd be tons of Gator meat themed drive-throughs all over this state. Buffalo Gator, Smoked Gator, Gator Jerky, Gator Cacciatore, London Gator, BLT & Gator, Gator n Turf, Gator n Grits.... yeah, never heard of any of that. Maybe it's fun to talk about, but it's just cooked big lizard. Not good. :barf:

:iagree: it was OK as a novelty thing when passing through the area.

Yeah, don't let them fool ya! It's not good. Kinda like how you "have" to have rocky mountain oysters if you're out in Colorado. Another ridiculous fallacy. Ummmmm, F that!

It’s easy to Fvck up cooking gator and if you do, it’s like eating a leather shoe.

But done right so it’s tender, hmm wifey and I like it a lot. There’s lots of places here that offer fried gator bites as an appetizer or if you’re in La Cajun country, my favorite, a gator po’boy, Fvck that’s good eatin.:yum:

Went out to dinner tonight. The "oysters" were on the menu. They were called "Bull Fries". :icon14:

Had a nice ribeye. :yum:

Rusty 06-23-2021 11:47 PM

We had a restaurant that served gator bites, frog legs, rattle snake bites, armadillo, "oysters", and chocolate covered ants.

The place went under.
