Good Morning All! I hope you all are doing well and have been staying safe and sanitary. Happy belated birthday to Susan. My wife's birthday was this past Friday. She spent it high on drugs as she broke her foot while taking a walk a few days earlier. She just stepped wrong on an uneven sidewalk and down she went. Broke her foot in two places on the fifth metatarsal. She is healing up and hopefully it will not require surgery. I played in a Senior Softball tournament this weekend this weekend in beautiful St. George, UT. The weather on Friday was a little cold and cloudy with a little bit on drizzle and the next two days were as perfect as they can get which included us going undefeated in the tournament. Winning the tournament give us an automatic invitation to the Tournament of Champions in Florida in February of 2022. Looking forward to the Z being done sometime soon or Sunday noon LMAO. Yawl, have a great start to the new week. Stay safe and sanitary!!!!

Disappointed in what way? The venue is not an issue for you and those that have decided to participate and for others it could be the venue even if they had the means to go and for many it is simply cost prohibited. I think if ZDAYZ is to survive in the way it was in the past other alternative sites need to be considered including Fontana Village. I think there is a lot more to the story why it fell off the table.

Probably a little bit of both. I suspect it has something to do with some states requiring testing/quarantining after traveling, along with warnings that the local PD wasn't going to be particularly nice to people. Who knows? All we know for certain is that reservations fell off the cliff. :/

i'll go back to fontana if they give me my money back.

the new place is wellllll worth the cost. the condos are 100x better than the run down cabins at fontana.



i didnt have to test or quarantine in october when we went down so i highly doubt thats a thing now.

also, i think the local PD comments were aimed to just quelle the rowdier younger crowd to help mitigate any issues. like the people riding around at 4 am since our cars typically are not the quietest vehicles and some people live in this place full time.

i barely saw any cops down there.

I didn't plan on spending much time in the cabins; I feel like most people felt likewise. For me at least, it's too expensive and not rural enough.

it is still zdayz, which is about the people, not the location. i feel many people may have forgotten that.

I went for the driving and seeing friends at a good price. Sounds like the new place is 3 times as much. I will pass this year. I don't give a rats butt about golfing. The drinking, not my thang.

It was Labor Day last year. You guys wanted me to hosted it then. So nothing has changed. It will be Labor Day next year too.

3 days at the new place cost about $500 more than I spent for 7 days in the old place :icon14: I love ZdayZ but that really zaps the vacation budget and cuts our 9 day trip to 4-5 days with 2 days of that driving back and forth :shakes head:
