Well, the motorhome is home for the winter. Came back around 10:30 this morning. It's been down in Tenn for the last 10 days. They had it pretty well cleaned up. Didn't have to do too much to it. This guy is my long term renter. 55 days this year. I have the motorhome winterized now.

Had a guy call last week about renting it the 24th, 25th, and 26th of this month. What he said is that he wants to park it at his parent's house for those days and use it like an extra bedroom. I told him that he can't park it in the grass because of how much it weights, and it would sink in the ground. He then said that he has to talk to his parents about it, and he would get back to me. Haven't heard a word from him since.

A little perspective on the size of round for my new rifle. :rofl2:

Left, .223 with a Sierra 69gr match bullet.

Center, .308 with a Sierra 168gr match bullet

Right, .338 Lapua Magnum with a 285gr Hornady match bullet.

And a 6" scale.

Leingod 12-14-2020 01:52 PM

yup. datz a big bullet

Spooler 12-14-2020 01:54 PM

About time SOHO posted their fix to head lift. It does has some disadvantages. Most common issue is it will eventually start leaking coolant at some point. Common issue with copper headgaskets. If that happens
it opens up a whole new can of worms. Everything has to come apart and be re-machined to fix it.

Glad I reload. A box of 20 of the 285gr match rounds at the gunshop is $103.00. That's $5.15 everytime you squeeze the trigger. I figured out last night that if I can get 10 reloads out of a 100 pieces of brass. Then the cost per trigger squeeze drops to $1.59 a round.

Got the truck back. They said it was the oil pan gasket leaking. Not the rear main seal. So they replaced the pan gasket, oil filter, and 7 quarts of fresh oil. No charge.

I have not been driving them really since the first time they laid salt here. Beginning of November. I did sneak the 370 out a couple of times when the ground was dry.

Never had the chance to winterize them and set up the car ports (have small heaters and dehumidifiers going on low). I paint corrected/ceramic coated the 370, wash/waxed the 350, Set up the battery tethers for winter.

The 350 paint needs some TLC. The paint correction on the 370 just makes the 350 look horrible. Thing is, I'm having clear coat issues on the 350's hatch and some clear coat milky-ness on the front driver and rear driver quarter panels. Might just be worth pulling everything apart in the spring, sand it down, and get a new paint job. Just hate to see a 350z nismo get repainted.

All of those are pretty much exactly how I imagined them in my head. Which happens on the regular btw :nutswinger:

Seb called today. Supercharger got sent to vortech today (yea). Bad news is, Specialty Z will be shutting down for the holidays Wednesday of next week until after the first of the year. I told Seb I wanted to get my spare Ti trim volute and impeller back from vortech in case I decide to build my spare motor and then I could convert the blower back to the Ti spec. He said, you mean add FI tt's. He loves to fuk with me about going tt. But he's probably right, if I pulled the motor, why not throw turbos on it. It's not like I don't already have the fuel system to support them.

I've reached out to a couple of places. Looking at around 6K to get it done right. I have a hobbiest garage.. a car lift. I've done all work on the 350 till this day, supercharger install... clutch install. But, when it comes to paint... i can do small panels or wheels with a HVLP gun, but i think i'm defeated when it comes to an entire car. Worst case, I'll tear it down myself and bring it to a place.

Funny, I have been using Seb for a couple years now. Even on holidays, I remember getting an updated tune on a couple occasions. He is a machine. This year, i got a tune on July 4th at like 11pm. Guy is on my hero list... LOL!

Right? I've redone my my oil pan spacer at least 3 times. Can never get it right. I've measured blow by and it's min. Never had a problem with the Red RTV on exhaust components. Maybe that's what I'll use the next time.

Unless you go to the Cog setup, it does slip for sure. I was able to top up 12psi with a smaller pulley, but I've already had to tighten the high speed side a few times. Only a matter of time before it starts shredding.

In my case, my car's there. They won't be there during the holidays. But yes, Seb is the man.
