:hello: Good morning!

Picked up my car from the wrap shop yesterday and that back bumper is now perfect! very happy with the results... Before / after pix attached. Notice the many shades of gray from the pix showing partly sunny day vs overcast. ( same camera used )

Went to close my pool yesterday and my utility drain pump been using for years broke and wouldn't turn on... ran to HD for best one they had ( 27 gpm ) but still wasn't good enough to drain below the returns before it got dark out so I can cover. ( have to drain about 7,000 gallons of water to get below returns... didn't turn on the pump until 1:30 and took til 6pm to finish. ). left everything out poolside as calm night in the low 40's with no winds...I'll get this taken care of today... have 6 helpers holding cover so I can snap the springs on...should go quick.

Have a great day everyone and stay safe!

What kind is it? DA polishers are pretty fool proof. Start with soft pads and light compound and work up if needed. :tiphat:

Ew is loving those 50 shades of gray you got going on there.

You need a Rupes DA polisher. A cordless Makita never ever has came to mind.

madwi 11-22-2020 10:04 AM

Metabo rotary. I aint got time for no DA polisher. :icon17:

madwi 11-22-2020 10:05 AM

Ok, I have a 3" DA polisher for hard to reach areas or door jambs.

I got me this one with a 25’ cord. Brand new still in the box .... I have the whole gamut of pads as well...

Tiny learning curve on a DA. You can get excellent results with not a lot of effort and low risk of doing any damage.

That's what the hazard fraud is a clone of, one of the lower end Rupes, looks identical other than the colors. It does a pretty good job, took out all of the swirl marks and the majority of the scratches with some med polish.

https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/XOP02Z

That is the one I'd like. Madwis jazz playing auto detailing friend recommends the corded version of it in one of his classes. It has a dual mode forced or free spin action and no cords to smack the car with. It's about the same price as the high end Rupes and I have a pile of batteries for it.

Just make sure it's clean before you start, it's surprisingly easy once you get past the initial fear.

Had a rough night last night sleeping. About half hour after going to bed. Broke out in a heavy sweat, stomach started to roll, and got a back ache on my left side. Never really got to sleep until around 9am. Still feeling a bit off. :icon14:
