7mm rem mag too much for PA deer hunting?

debating on finally getting a new deer rifle and been looking between 6.5 creed, 7mm-08, or 7mm rem mag.

my options are limited because for the first time i'm finally buying a lefty rifle lol been shooting righty ones left handed since i was 12.

you cant? we got tons in PA just left handed is slightly slim pickings as usual.

FWIW, I exclusively use my 7mm Mag for whitetail here. No matter the range its hitting them hard.

thats a nice one but with my woods i was looking at a leopold 2x10 scope. some shots end up being close and rather have a lower mag to start with vs being super zoomed.

I leave it zoomed out most the time but nice to have it if I need to dial in on a couple hundred yard shot.

The best thing about it is the illuminated reticle. Been multiple shots I would have been able to take without it.

I'd consider a 7mm mag to be more of a "brush gun" for shooting where you might hit a small branch. For shooting down a right-of-way or lane, it would be a bit much IMSNHO.

That's what I use. Use a heavy bullet around 170grs. I've taken deer within 50 yards to out to 700 yards with the 7 mag.

Box of Mac N cheese with a bottle of wine for dinner. To damn lazy and to cold to go out and grab something.

Can we go to a range the next time I visit? I've only ever handled a 12 Guage before.
