How much of an issue with leveling are you talking? You could try self leveling compound to smooth things out. My buddy had a floor that actually dropped 1.5" from one side to the other, and we were able to take a lot of that out using self leveling compound and the underlayment.

Just signed the paperwork to back out of the house contract. Sellers already have it back on the market now asking 85k. It's still 20k to high for all the foundation work needed. Morons.....

I won't know until we get the carpet & what's left of the pad up. I think we'll be okay, this is very old carpet and we think the previous owners took part of the pad out in places. :shakes head::shakes head:

Every time Stanley Steemer comes out to clean that carpet, a little more pad disappears..... .:ugh2:

I never set to max PSI unless I am loaded at the limit. I set at 10psi lower than max for normal use. Oh yeah, weigh your chit on a certified scale loaded. That way you know what you have weight wise per axle.

Ok if I pass by a weigh station at I75 could I get a reading how much weight my trailer load is it for free or I need to pay?

For now I got National its 10 ply at 80psi max
The GY has to be ordered.
They recommend Heartland same rating as GY but lot cheaper. Have you heared about this brands National, HeartLand? Looks like they are from Covid land too.

Truck stop would be your best bet. Have the car loaded in the trailer. Drive on the scale. Weight just the truck first with the trailer attached. Then weight both truck and trailer together. Then weight just the trailer with truck attached.

Stay away from ANY tire from China.

Do they charge a fee for that?

A proper scale will be able to weigh every axle at one time. It is divided into sections with load cells for each section. Front axle, truck rear axle, and trailer axles.

They all put the cheap tires on there. I thought that trailer looked familiar. So you did buy it from where we all had ours built. Oh well, it is part of owning a trailer. I blew a brand new valve stem on my outside drivers side dually tire last trip and ended up ripping the rear axle trailer brake wires off. Chit happens. Just fix it and move on.

You made me laugh!!!

Yeah I charge it to learning experience! It was fun and slowly getting used to backing up that trailer and squeezing through tight gas stations.

Had 5x trips with the trailer. This was the only one had issues with.
Im getting that Goodyear on my next trip next year at the Dragon again.

I am thinking about the Goodyears also, just hate to throw money away if I can get another year out of these. You will normaly get a warning of a bulge in the tire tread when they are ready to be changed.
Or you will see cracking in between the tread.

Zoren 370 08-18-2020 12:54 PM

You know I think the heat of the Florida sun did it to my tires. The only one blew out is the side of the passenger side which is where constantly exposed to the sun even if I covered the tires.

The driver side is facing my fence which hardly gets any sun exposure. It made it through out the trip.

But I changed them too... just to be sure I wont end up another blown tire on the way home. Total I bought 5 bnew tires this trip. The 5th one is for my spare tire.

You gotta pay if you want to play!

You should try and do something to mitigate that. Ideally, something to provide shade. I bet turning the RV around 180 degrees every so often to even out the sun exposure would help, but I'm not sure you have that option.

They make RV tire covers to protect from UV rays. That is what Rusty was talking about earlier. I need one for my spare.

Right. I get that's what the covers are for. But there's still that blazing heat. That's not a concern?

Not really. The UV rays dry rot them.

I had them for the camper, and have them for the motorhome. You can get them from Camping World.

Just got off the phone with Fontana Village. No refunds on your deposit. But they are honoring your reservation for next year. Asked who I can get in contact for the refund. She said I would have to get a hold of the old company. Then she said there is no contact information for the old company. Seems like the old company pocketed the money and vanished.

Yup I forgot the name of the family that used to run the property!

They got all your money for sure. Is Bryan Settle extending assistance to help members to recover the deposit?
