IDGAF, thats free speech, and thats what I and other veterans served and fought for your right to do so.
But when you vandalize, burn and steal from local businesses, inflict bodily harm on others, you are a thug.
Covid has hurt the small business owners as it is, not to mention the people they employ, and when I see them being vandalized, looted and burned....

Honestly if the Covid19 was actually true that it was engineered by humans!
I hope they can engineer it to only choose the stupid, the scams of the earth, the one who doesn’t contribute to the betterment of society.

This world would be a better place to live in.

I fear for the future of my kids...I do not know what the future lays ahead for the next millennial generation. Is this the life we will have for the rest of our life wearing mask... no faces...no human touch...no human physical interaction all will be confined inside a TV tube.

I hate to say this Maybe human race deserves the Virus... but sadly it doesn’t choose which one to infect.

I miss my races...my car meets...hugging my kids.

I wish we can all live again in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s etc.

Life was fun and easy. Even amidst darkness...the light still shines brighter..,,

This generation is the reverse. Darkness is sweeping all over the globe.

There was no deadly threat, therefore no reason to use deadly force.

I don’t care if George Floyd said the most obscene things to the officers, nor if he resisted going into the police car. George Floyd carried no weapons, cuffed, had multiple officers surrounding him.

The only thing that matter was George Floyd was under control, and the officer continued to exercise a deadly restraining method.

Disclaimer: Just my opinion. I do respect others’ that differ from mine on this topic.

You have a selective memory. The riots at the 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention, Kent State in 1970, and the list goes on and on and on. Our species has always been prone to violence - and probably always will be. Get more than 2-3 homo sapiens in a group and things can get ugly. Nothing changes but the technology.

"May you live in interesting times." Y'all can look that one up for yourselves. :)

Protesting is one thing. This is no longer about protesting. This is mob riots, anarchists, and antifa driving everything now. They are using the death of George Floyd as a cover to cause mayhem. Look at St. Louis riots a couple of years ago. Same thing. With everyone being locked up because of the virus. People being up set about that. This just needed a trigger for things to explode. And they got it.

It's wasn't all bad. I thoroughly enjoyed the 70s - a time when even an ugly guy such as myself could get laid. And we didn't have to worry about AIDS - a shot of penicillin was all you needed. I wrote my first "Hello World" program. First "serious" girlfriend, first car, hair down to my waist, first joint, etc, etc.

But it wasn't all good either. Heroin was running rampant and I lost several ppl I cared about to The Needle. Others lost their lives in Viet Nam (or came back really farked up, physically and/or mentally). While great strides had been made on the Civil Rights front, minorities were still very much discriminated against (I can remember seeing "White Only" and "Colored Entrance" signs). No personal computers, no Intertubes. And the list goes on.

Today has it's good points and it has it's bad points - just like every other generation down through the ages.

Edit: Thanks to those who have participated in this thread for keeping to Sociology and not wandering into Politics. And for keeping the conversation civil. On many other sites, this convo would have gone downhill fast.

We are living in the greatest time period in the history of mankind. The shìt we've accomplished as a species allows far more people to live in far more comfort than ever before. More people have access to clean resources and medical care than ever before.

That being said, there's still a lot of shitty stuff going on in the world. That's not going to stop happening regardless of how much our society advances and evolves. We have to do our best to acknowledge and reject the people that are fuckìng things up for the rest of us. Alas, money and power make that tough.

I found out earlier on here in another thread because I am white and from the South I am racist. To avoid the conflict, I have not participated.

In a nutshell its never gonna be a perfect world!

But we have the power on our hands to make our world worth living and better.

Its just some people choose otherwise.

The world has bleed so much because of our inequities and stubbornness.

The day of retribution is coming!

Poor, rich, healthy, sick , young and old., white, black, brown, yellow will be judged! There is no escape...if you know what I’m saying.

No politics no religion!

It was written so it should be done!
