I just read it. Some people aren't very smart. Tirerack only recommends stock setup. They have no idea about tire/wheel sizing or recommending any of the such. I guess it is too much to ask for someone to read and learn.

Depending on what you ask him, he will either:

1. give you an entire literature narrative and will take you days to read

OR

2. go off on you

I need to find someone or a place willing to let me use their lift. Time is coming up for me to change out the tranny and diff fluid, and I really don't want to use the ground

No need for a lift. Super easy to do on jack stands. Done a couple dozen over the years that way without issue

I've done them too, but putting car on a lift would save me so much time and make the process so much smoother. Plus, my garage floor is at an angle, so I'm always paranoid about adding too much/little. I'll put the front on jack stands and the rear on jacks, and lower it to level and have the excess fall out after filling.

lol I could probably lift my Z on jack stands as quick as 2 post lift with multiple arms.

Of course, then there's this guy who has it down to a science

Have you checked out something like the quickjack? May work for your apt. garage and easy to store.

+1 for Quickjack, and I don't mean that activity you perform when you are lonely and stretched out in your front window (yes, the neighbors have been talking)

I have been eyeing one, however, there are 2 main concerns that make me hesitant on proceeding:

1. What if the hydraulics fail and comes collapsing down. Not sure if there have been any injuries/deaths from this, but few youtube vids on where they test and actually fail

2. It would still require me to slide underneath my car and be on my back. I much rather be standing and have free range of motions and have that extra leverage.
