Which hammer drill you get?

Figured I could use a light duty one around the house. I usually borrow one from a contractor friend that is way overkill. So I got the Ridgid MegaMax cordless one and still have access to the overkill one if needed. Kit also includes a reciprocating saw head (there's also a right angle head option) The 9Ah battery that came with the shopvac should power it ok.

The estimated delivery for my Snap on socket holders was Mon Apr 13 when I checked earlier today. Now they are supposed to arrive tomorrow :icon17:

I usually get overnight delivery when choosing regular shipping from snapon. Not a good thing for my wallet.

You can see by the wear and tear how often I use my hammer drill!

I 've used the chit out of mine. Living in a brick house, it has come in handy.

Howdy fellas, how we all doing today? Work is definitely slowing down a lot now, wondering how my hours will fluctuate over the next few weeks. As for the Z, I'm holding off on doing the nismo front end conversion for now, no point in spending money on that if I don't really need to, and not sure how work will go. What's brutal is how nice the weather has been this week in the PNW, 70 degrees and sun!

I have that same drill, took it to JCs when I went down there. Bulldogs are great little hammer drills. Mine hasn't looked like that in a while though

Those corded hammer drills remind me of my buddy's. Pretty sure it's a 2" drive Bosch.

I'd guess sds max like the bit joby bought by mistake. It's just too much drill and no fun to use. I have 2 big hilti rotary hammers at work. I only pull them out for extreme situations, anything over 3/4 or lots of 3/4. Everything else is done with a cordless

This is exactly what I wanted to hear :tiphat: Yup it's an SDS-Max. Great for drilling big anchor holes in concrete slabs. Overkill for most anything else.

The one I'm getting is 1-1/8" drive SDS-Plus. And cordless just makes sense now that I've got a battery system I've invested in.

One other thing. For most home gamers that just need to poke a couple hole here and there you can get the hazard fraud corded sds plus hammer drill that is about the same as the Bosch Bulldog that Madwi and I have for half the price. That chunk of chineseum will be plenty of drill for everything you'll ever need

BoneZ 04-09-2020 07:15 PM

Figured out I could run my old video doorbell off a cellphone charger. Makes an ok garage cam.

Found a cheap action camera that was a gift several years ago that was never opened. Not exactly the best for action shots, but the thing makes an excellent webcam
